Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have always wanted to be a doctor i know many have specific incidences that shaped their decision to be a doctor but I didn't have any of those i just knew i wanted to be one from the start! Having said that work life balance is something thats extremely hard to achieve in this field i hope this gets better in the future

Internships Opportunities

4

As every other government medical college in india, guntur medical college also provides us with an internship with its affiliated hospital GGH. The stipend is somewhere around 20 thousand which is quite low in my opinion but there is a lot of exposure

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee in Guntur medical college is very affordable. Students need to pay Rs 15000/- every academic year for 4.5 years. In the 5th year that is the last year we get to do internship at our affiliated hospital GGH.

Campus Life

5

College life is pretty boring in terms of entertainment but so is the case for every other medical college. Academically though I find this very very interesting Its so fascinating to learn about the human body and appreciate its excellence. Apart from that its all very very boring

Admission

I applied for All india institute of medical sciences but unfortunately I couldn't get into it. My nedt option has always been guntur medical college mainly because its in my city which means i could he closer to my parents

Faculty

5

There are adeqaute faculty to fulfil the duties. They are excellent at their duties They help us understand the subject well. There are numerous exams conducted almost every week which is quite hectic to the student but also necessary

Night Life

3

I am not well acknowledged with night life for 2 reasons one I'm very new to this college I haven't explored everything and two I'm a dayscholar i dont know how the hostel life is. What i do know is that we have a good canteen and also a really good library in addition to reading rooms

The time table of the circulum is best but they can still make it better by adding some revision classes for theory too. They have revision classes for practicals only . The classes are too fast so atleast they should add one revision class

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the only course that could make me a surgeon that I always wanted to become, hence I chose this course I choose this college due to its high patient load . I could also go to AIIMS Deogarh, Jammu, Guwahati, Madhurai or Jipmer Karaikal but I choose AMC over them is due to Patient load only. Here I can get good clinical exposure compared to those There are programs like Family Adoption programme, Early Clinical Exposure form the first year itself , and from second year only students go to ward postings. There is always real world application in this course This course particularly dont want any improvements in my opinion, NMC regulates and improves the curriculum in real time and that is implemented in this college perfectly. For every like 3 months we have internal exams to assess ourselves . And final exams in the last.
