Course Curriculum Overview

4

Honestly speaking, I was not sure about what civil is. But, I was neither interested in computer science. So, now from 2nd year onwards, we have subjects which gives us concepts of civil engineering. I find them really interesting as they are about structures, soils etc. So, now I take keen interest in my course and don't regret about my decision. As I am a civil engineering student, there a number of applications of this course in real world. We are the creator of structures so we need to be very careful with our executions. That is why it's a very interesting subject. In my opinion ,the course should be updated with the evolution of different methodology of execution. They should teach us what is relevant to real world and currently being taken into practice not the primitive methods.so, that's one thing which I don't find good. But, when it comes to exams and their difficulties, they are genuinely bot that different just you need to be clear with your concepts. And frequency of exams is also not bad. It's good.

Internships Opportunities

4

I personally am not involved in these things currently so I don't have any idea regarding these things. But, I have heard my seniors talking about internships and all. So, if you connect with your seniors they will definitely guide you with all these.

Placement Experience

4

Students start getting placed from seventh semester onwards. This year the highest package was 45 LPA and the lowest was 6LPA. The average was 14LPA. So, overall placement is good. A number of companies came namely Amazon, Phonepay, Aditya Birla Group, Accenture, Coding Ninjas, Engineers India Limited,Futures first, HDFC, ICICI etc .Offers varied with different companies.A total of 98 companies came for campus placements. The highest package offered this year was around 45LPA. This year 80-85% students got placed. After getting degree, I might go for job to have stability. And then, prepare for sons government exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have just completed my first semester. So, am not going to be placed in some company. But, this year in 2023 ,the highest package that know was of 1.5 crores and the average package was around 14LPA . Generally, students from every department go for tech placements , only few go for the department related jobs and services. So, according to my knowledge , more than 80% of the students are placed in campus placements. Also, very renowned companies come for recruitment at our college like Amazon, Infoedge, etc. However, the fees seems quite high as of the government colleges.

Campus Life

5

The college gives you refreshments when you come and there are a number of refreshments like shayari, poetry, dance, mimicry, monoact, drama, even knowledgeable things. They invite people who are successful in their lives. They guide you about start-ups. In fact , they give you a number of events to enjoy, like DJ night, and we have a inter-department competition known as eccentrica which continues for two days.I have heard a number of events, but I have not witnessed yet since I am still a fresher. But yes , I can tell you about eccentrica. It has ramp walk for which you need to design your outfits yourself. It has solo singing, duet singing, solo dance, duet dance, group dance, debate etc. For every single thing , seniors take auditions. It is really fun. Along with that, there are number of technical as well as cultural clubs to involve in. There are variety of things to explore. A event called Techno-cultural fest (TCF) continues for 5 days . Also there are intramurals , sports.

Hostel Facilities

1

Hostel facility is not good . To be very honest, the hostels are in bad conditions. They don't provide you quality food, neither proper space for yourself to do things and keep your stuff properly. Washrooms are also not always clean. Also, during winters you are not provided with hot water to bath and neither allowed to keep the heating rod of your own. In one room , four students are accomodated and which is quite messy for us to live in such a small confined room. Coming to food, you can find worms in your food any day. And many more things which are not edible. They don't care of the quality of food they provide. Even, I have heard of other government colleges, they provide variety in breakfast so that no one skips, but here, in NITP you will have only one option a day. And, if you will have any complaint , your words are ignored by the wardens. And one more thing, wardens are like over interfering in your personal issues. They focus more on your personal stuff rather than hostel. Also, these warden staffs are lazy and don't want to do their job. They just want to sit and shout like a queen.

Admission

Firstly, we had the JEE exams mains and advanced. Though, this college requires mains qualification. The cutoff was 90 percentile when I appeared for it. And I had 94 percentile so I applied for the councelling rounds. The most confusing and most important part of the process was the councelling ones. But, for me , it was the worst part since you have to find out which colleges you are likely to get any seat. And, also we need to take care of the priority order of the colleges. So, it's quite difficult for you if there is no one to guide you. According to me, it would be quite easy for us if they just provide us with only colleges for which we are eligible and likely to get the seat. It takes more than a month for completion of the process. All the rest is getting your certificates done and go for physical reporting.

Faculty

5

So , Currently I'm in my 2nd year. I have almost finished my third semester. They have a number of experienced and good faculty who always try to make things better and easy. They are always there for you.In first year, I had some lazy professors in my first semester. But, from 2nd semester onwards , the professors were good. They taught well and were ready to solve your problems as and when required. Apart from studies, they share life experiences to us and teach us morals . They are really appreciable. Also, they always try to help us and give us important information about government exams and career opportunities. Now, coming to exams . So, we have 2 exams in one semester. A mid semester exams and then end semester exams. Apart from these, assignments and tests also are evaluated. And, viva for labs are also taken into consideration. The exams are easy to do if you study even 2 days before your exam day. Just you need to have the good notes and one time understanding when professor explain in class. Rest is just upto you , how to prepare, how much time you take. But, I will say, exams are not that tough.

Night Life

4

I personally prefer being in my room rather than going out and hanging out. But, yes, we have a gym separate for boys and girls . We have 4-5 cafeteria. Also, in boy's hostel, they have a small cafeteria inside the hostel. For a boy, the nightlife is really enjoying and free. For girls you are bound to be inside the hostel after 9 PM. But, we still enjoy with our friends and roommates . our campus gives full space to play to enjoy and to hang out. We also have a good library with plenty of books . And since we live in patna so we can go to nearby places which is quite beautiful. For boys , there is no in and out time but entry at the hostel gate needs to be done. But, for girls you are allowed to go out after 6 in the morning and at 9PM the door gets closed . This is for the hostel. For the main gate of campus, 8PM is the in time.Inside the college you can hang out anywhere, a number of buildings etc. open areas in the lap of greenery . Outside the college, Patna City can be visited .

Remarks:

In the end, it can say that the backward area of ??Bihar in which this college is located. There, they not only keep the future of Wah's children, but are also playing a big role in the development of that city. Despite being in a very small city of Bihar, a very good building, Varkalas facility, international culture maintains a very good atmosphere here. Due to the border with Nepal country, many children of Nepal also come here to study.
