- The faculty is not very good,we have to learn everything from YouTube only
- The college fest is not a great experience
- The college does not have a sports infrastructure within the campus, however it does sports facilities at a 20 min walking distance
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is not good and not relevant to the real world, but again the same is the case with all the colleges across India. The classroom does not do much for your, but if you are active in college and take part in events, one gets to learn a lot
Internships Opportunities
There are many internship opportunities. Companies like Zomato and grant Thornton also visit the campus for internships. The average stipend is from 5k to 15k. The roles offered are for sales,hr, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship and many more
Placement Experience
The campus placements are pretty decent for any BBA college, the highest package is close to 10 LPA,with avg being close to 7 LPA. THE college also provides lots of internship opportunities to the students. Students can sit for placements after the 4th sem. The placement percentage is close to 97%. There are several companies visiting the campus like KPMG, Zomato,PwC, Accenture and many more major companies
Fees and Financial Aid
The Year Wise fees will be close to 4,00,000 with a 5-6% increment every year. If you are an NRI then probably the fees would be 70-80% higher and if you are an International student then your fee would be very low,and would be getting major discount on hostel fees as well. There is a scholarship provided by SIU to the top scorers of each sem exams, they get 75% scholarship for that semester's fee
Campus Life
Overall the campus life is pretty good, there are several events happening throughout the year to keep oneself occupied. The college library has a large collection of books on all the subjects,it also has a digital library of more than 36000, books. The college keeps sending it's sports team to various events across the country and has a dedicated sports facility for football, basketball, cricket, lawn tennis, volleyball, etc
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are extremely good and so is the food in comparison to other hostels. The rooms are pretty big, with attached bathroom and washroom. The hostel rooms get cleaned everyday. There are many pgs also near the college with avg monthly expense coming close to 20k
Admission
I got selected into all the colleges I had applied to- nmims, christ banglore, Xavier's Kolkata, but I choose SCMS because I believe more in learning via real world exposure than in classrooms and I think SCMS is good option for that
Faculty
To be honest the faculty is very bad except a few of course, every semester the faculty keeps changing. The things they teach in class are things which are already covered in class 11 and 12 for commerce students. However they have one good thing about the curriculum which is MDCs,via this program students can learn any subject beyond the ones included in BBA
Interview Experience
There was no GD,but there was PI. In the PI they ask very basic and predictable questions. The admission mostly depends on SET scores. One can easily crack SET exams within 2-3 week period of work. They also take a written ability test to test your on spot analysing skills
Night Life
The college is surrounded with cafes, gyms and clubs,so for those looking for night life this would be a good option. The hostel timing are 10:30 PM is the deadline, however they can be flexible after a bit of talking
