Except faculties everything is on par the level of engineering college. With some changes & modifications needed fir first year hostel & mess, life will become easy. Although we have such issues prevalent from a long time, still it feels like a home far away from home. Its all because of the friends you will get here.

Course curriculum here is a Flexible one. Unlike a prescribed subjects to sit for each semester, here you'll get a choice to select which subject or subjects you want to appear for in the current semester. But make sure to have a organised plan, as by the end of 4th year one should finish all the subjects. The exam structure here is like our schools. The only difference is the marking scheme. Unlike absolute marking scheme. Here you will get 'Relative Grading System' where your grades will be a subject to Toppers grade & Class average.

If you are a descent student with a zeal to work. You will surely get placed. There are many companies which visit during Placement Season; especially the software based & computer programming firms. They will provide you a descent package of almost 5-6lpa if you are an average student. You can get higher package depending upon your interest in the subject & interview. The same company(most of them) that gives placement also gives internship opportunity. Stipend will be a subject to the firm you got selected into. And, if you are unable to get into such internship programs, Don't worry! NIT Trichy provides research internship to its student; where you can work under some Professor on a research project(without stipend).

There is a plethora of events celebrated throughout the year. From sports event to Tech Fest, everything you'll find here. 1. Festember is a inter college cultural event & meet organized every year in the month of September. 2. Sportsfete is an intra college & inter department sports event. 3. NITTFEST is an inter departmental cultural event. 4. Pragyan is our annual tech fest organized every year in the month of March. Other than these there are various other events like Aaveg(for first years) & some other events that are being organized by specific department throughout the year where you can showcase your ability & learn. Whatever that is mentioned here are the major events of our college. Your life won't be boring around in the campus as the list of event is never ending & full of thrill & excitement.

Feasible fee structure. With various central govt scholarship program for needy students; based on family income or Category of the respective student. If you belong to a category then voila! Your fees will be around 35k per sem compared to 92k per sem for a General Category student with family income more than 5lpa. The figures here are approximated. Fees will be subject to length of semester. Which will average out to the above figure

Loan facility is available for students undergoing admission process. There is a SBI branch inside campus which deals with all such loans. Regarding scholarships, as already explained in the fees section. Most of the Scholarship here are based on family income or Category of the respective student. If you belong to a category then voila! Your fees will be around 35k per sem compared to 92k per sem for a General/OBC Category student with family income more than 5lpa. Other than than the above scholarships there are few for meritorious students also, given to us by the alumni network. But getting those is very difficult.

With plenty of events around; there are almost none of the extracurricular activity which you can't do while enjoying those events. Also there are various clubs which will definitely suit yuor extracurricular interest. Labs are very good with lot of learning materials & scope. Regarding sports, I already explained in the events section. We have a dedicated sports Center dealing with all these. Where you can get into a plenty of indoor & outdoor games ranging from volleyball, football, cricket, to table tennis, chess, swimming & much more.

Hostel infrastructure is good for all the years except for first years where you will be sharing your room with bugs. Complaints are being made but no action taken till now. Coming to other years. The hostel is really good with 24*7 electricity & water supply. Periodic cleaning & full time security.

The alumni network of NIT Trichy is very strong. With few of its alumni at the top positions of some MNC firms. Like T.V .Narendran( MD Tata Steel), founder of Hackerrank, Chairman of TCS & many more. Seniors are very helpful in all aspect.

Faculties are not good(except some). You should study on your own to score marks. The only help you will get from a faculty is a prescribed syllabus which they will provide. Most of the faculties here are very poor at delivering the content matter appropriately. Thats why you should rely on your own hardwork rather than expecting the Profs to feed you.
