Course Curriculum Overview

5

In the starting semester you have to learn not only your chosen stream but also subject from other streams to help you get to know your likes and dislikes. If you choose CSE as a course you also have to study chemistry, electrical , electronics, Mechanical. and even bilogy in your first semester so as to have a better understanding of what you want to study in the future.

Internships Opportunities

5

i perosnally have to yet experianced this but have heard that the university makes sure that all the students have a intership by their third year and you even have an option to take an intership off campus. they generally have a stipend of around 6000 a month or more.

Placement Experience

5

Students are eligible for campus placements in their last year and their are on campus placements available. their are more than 700 companies which come to recurute and the most major of them include TCS and TATA. The avager package offers are 12LPA with the lowest package of 3LPA and highest package of 53LPA offered to students in 2024 . More than 90% students get atleast 1 job offer during the campus placements. My plan after getting my degree is getting my masters degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

the tuition fees of the college is 4LPA, they offer a scholership of 10000 per month to the students who have a rank of under 1000 in the KIITEE examination. Except the tuition fees they also offer hostel which is not compulsary but has a fees starting from 60000 to 150000 with a mess fees of 45000 per year which seems to be increasing and a laundry fees of 5310 per year

Campus Life

5

Since as a fresher we are not generally alowed to stay outside the hostel very late but we still manage to have out fun by hanging out in our friends room throughout the day. The kiitfest is generally heald in febuary and i personally have not seen it yet but have heard a great deal about it and am very excited to see it wiht my own eyes. the campus has an extra-ordinary sports facility with more than 15 swimming pools and indoor and outdoor sports complexes and also offers sports that the students have not heard of before and gives them a chnace to get out of their comfort zone and try on different. they also have gymnassium and with a small fees of 500 you can availe them all. There are multiple students organisation which you can join and their recrutment start from november and you get the oppertunity to learn and gain a lot of experience, and even if you think you are not ready to join a club right now there is no need to worry as you can also apply in your second or third year as well.

Hostel Facilities

5

the room come with a bed a mattress a bucket a mug and the room includes a study table and overhead lamp and plenty of space for your books and cloths.as any hostel the induction, kettle are not allowed. The hostel registration is done with the admission process and the hostel is assigned at the same time. The meal quality fluctuates evyer week and the menu also changes quite frequently, but their are some food that are always good and constantly on the menu but the are limites,( like one gulab jamun and two eggs). the hostel are affordable but they also have a more expensive option for better living condition.

Admission

I applied to other college like VIT, BITS ,IIT , NIT , Manipal , NMIMS. i got admitted in NMIMS,VIT and Manipal and also got the stream i desired but i decided to comes here. I didn't go to NMIMS as it is more known for its managemnet programs and KIIT has a better BTECH curriculam. I didn't got ot Manipal as it has a bad reputation regarding substance abuse which really affected me.I didn't go to VIT as it did not give me the campus i dersired and it was not worth going to thoes campuses. I got rejected from BITS,IIT,NIT. i did not make it to BITS as i did not complete their boards criteria and did not score enough on their entrance exam to get my desired course.I also did not score enogh on my JEE exam to make it to IIT or NIT. The admission in my college is done by the KIITEE exams and also thorugh the JEE exam. after the exams and getting yout rank you have to pay the first semester fees and then you get you call letter and you have to report on the day alloted to you to recieve you hostel and ID cards. The boards criteris is 60% aggrigate in PCM. the admission process was quick and effortless but has a crowd which they did not seem to be able to manage.

Faculty

4

The faculty are exceptionally well in their respective feilds and are more than happy to disscuss your issues and any doubts you have you just have to be open enough to go to them with your doubts. there are regular exams taken thoughout the semester and give plenty of assingment and homework which needs to be submitted on time. The faculty (if your maintain a good impression) will even help to imporve your internal marks. their are two exams conducted the mid semester of 20% your full grade for that subject and the finalls which consistes of 50% your full marks for that subject and the remaing is counted as the internal marks. Their are also labs which give marks on the class basis as in how you perform in each class and your final marks are counted in them. I personally loved by chemistry lab as it really gives you a perspective on how to handle things carefully and how to write your lab reports which also helps in other labs, and had a very competing lab exam and the exam experiment is decided by a laundry system.

Night Life

4

majority of the sports facility close off by 7:30 and you can't use them after that althugh the libraries are open all night and you can use them all night wiht permission from your warden. The city on its own is almost very quite in the night as majority of the shops and plases close off by night. as hostel also close by 10 and you need to be inside after that you don't have much to do after that. their are a lot of places you can visite to hangout with your friends like food courts and garden or you can go out to explare the food street that is right at your campus gate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* I had chosen to do mechanical engineering because I had some bond with machines and it's designing and was also aware with the scopes of mechanical engineering. * In real world the curriculum helped me a lot and still it is helpful, currently I'm preparing for position of junior engineer and there it is quite helpful for me. * I don't think any improvement is required in the course curriculum and teaching methods as everything was good at its place and it's also the responsibility of us (students) to know our curriculum thoroughly and give our best. * Exams were conducted at an interval of 6 months and as said earlier exams conducted were moderate level not too difficult or easy and with studies it can be cleared easily

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
