Course Curriculum Overview

This is my interest and I always want to learn coding and know the science behind it. Coding is the thing I can do without getting bored whole day so I chose this course in prder to fulfill my happiness.

Class Size: 49Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I have spent 60000 on fees where 10000 is security and for the upcoming semester it is same due to general caste. If I was SC or OBC i have to submit just 3000 or 4000 Even NSP scholarship is not eligible for me as I am general caste. My friends having SC or OBC caste are filling all the scholarship

Campus Life

Everything is good and involvement in social activities. I like everything here and very fond of doing it with all my heart and things. I would prefer others to take admission here so thst they can get a new experience

Admission

I didn't get admission in other colleges as before the addmission date every seat was filled in CSE course so i have to take admission here as degree is same and valuable as same as punjabi University.

Faculty

The teachers are just friends of ours and listen to us everytime. They even postpone or prepone the vlass according to our needs. They are very friendly. They treat us like their own children. They are very good.

Night Life

It has not anything around it but have houses of people. It is like very silent place but one can enjoy as it has many branded shops and showrooms in front lf it and roads walking all the night overall.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Life at CGC Landran

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

How can Lovely Professional University change your way of life.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
