Likes
- The campus is adequate and luscious with a well maintained garden where u can have food with your friends.
- The library is huge with a huge range of books regarding engineering and literature and the library has plenty of space to concentrate and read.
- The ground is vast and we have a individual court for different sports and a dedicated sports room where good equipments are given.
Dislikes
- Though the library has a huge amount of books the librarians do not encourage reading books of literature, this was a bit shocking.
- We don't have a dedicated auditorium for conducting fests of large scale ,equipment has to be brought from the outside during fests.
- The college entrance is a mess with the road being full of plastic waste ,for such a reputed college the entrance should be neater
Course Curriculum Overview
In the curriculum we have definite topics and sub topics which are clearly defined, so it helped me choose the curriculum. The curriculum fairly prepares us for real life situations as we know the applications of what we learn. The only improvement is including newer topics in the curriculum. We have a exam every month known as internals and a sem exam after end of semester which is fairly tough as it requires us to apply our learnt knowledge to solve the problems.
Internships Opportunities
The companies which regularly visit are juspay,tech mahindra etc And various internships are offered around different companies. We have 2 mini projects in the 5th and 6th sem with a major project in the final year on our branch related topics.
Placement Experience
From the 6th sem the students become eligible for placements. The companies which visit our college are infosys,wipro etc The highest package this year was 30LPA and the average package ranges from 4 to 5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is above 80%. I plan to work after getting a degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
COLLEGE FEES-20000 TUITION FEES-68374 S LAB FEES-10000 VTU FEE-10610 There is a government scholarship named SSP scholarship which can be availed by students which can provide 20000-70000 depending upon the category.
Campus Life
The annual fest is known as Vismay which is held every even sem for 2 whole days. The library is vast and has a considerable amount of books ranging from engineering to literature. Every classroom has a projector to enable presentations and smart teaching. The college conducts both inter department as well as inter college tournaments. The student run group known as tridha is a cultural club which is responsible for various events.
Admission
I applied to other very reputed colleges like BMS ,SJBIT but received no responses from them.Also this college was fairly near to my home and had a good reputation among my peers who i consulted regarding the colleges. There is generalized exam known as KCET which every student after 12th can write to take admission in engineering colleges.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:32 We each 32 students have our own mentors They are very approachable and any problems regarding the college or class can be brought to them. There are 3 or 2 internals in a semester depending upon the time period. The portions are fairly simple so almost 98% of the students clear the exams.
Night Life
We have a gym located inside the sports room which is available from early morning and we have a cafeteria where various kinds of fast food items are served and a huge library consisting of a large array of books. The locality is safe around the night as it has no incidents regarding theft or other disturbing in it's history.
