Likes
- The infrastructure was really great and the campus was well maintained along with all the necessary facilities like Medical, Banking, ATM, etc
- There were students were all the states and from many other countries, the cultural diversity was high
- The faculties were very supportive and well informed. They were very professional and friendly.
Dislikes
- The labs were not up to the mark and many things were missing or empty. There was not ample stock.
- The grievance system was poor. The management did not listen to the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was upto the industry standards and included all the necessary subjects and experiments needed to be industry ready. The course structure was such that the previous semester subjects helped to undertand the subjects in the upcoming semesters.
Internships Opportunities
There were internship oppurtunities in the same area as of the college and the college also helped in getting the internships from various organisations. The faculties were also helpful in getting the internships.
Placement Experience
Campus placements were not very good and the companies did not hire for the course that we did but for other fields like sales, recruitment and other industries. There was no help in the campus placements from the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
fee structure for BSc Biotechnology at Chandigarh University: Semester wise fees was 40000, which is 80000 yearly Total tuition fees was 240000 + 2000 security deposit for 3 years There were category type scholarships provided and also the university conducted its own scholarship test CUET where students could avail upto 100% scholarship based on the marks scored on the scholarship test
Campus Life
I have met students from different countries and made some really good friends, Got to learn a lot from other students, I took part in various activities happening throughout the year. Libraries were not very good as the number of books were not enough for the amount of students in the course.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel faculty was rude and unhelpful most of the time. They did not attend to any of the complaints and were always rude. The hostel food was the good and the rooms were spacious with air conditioning.
Admission
I have always wanted to go to this college because many of my seniors were already from the same college and they suggested me to take admission in the same. I did not apply to any other college. This was the best college in the Google search at that time.
Faculty
- There were enough faculties per subject and the faculty-to-student ratio was also good. - Most of the faculties were good and approachable. Many of the faculties were present even outside their working hours to solve the doubts. - Faculties most of the time took extra classes outside the college to solve soubts. - Shanu Sir and Kanchan Ma'am were among my favourite faculties as they were very friendly and always istened to the students. - Per semester there were two MST exams and then end semester exams. Most of the students cleared the exams.
Night Life
Hostel had indoor gyms and there was no additional fees for the gym. There were a lot of food joints and the food was good and hygienic. The hostel timing was 8PM for girls and 10 PM for boys. There were no outside people allowed inside the hostel campus.
