What Students Say

Likes

The college infrastructure is very good and appealing
The placements provided are also effective and gives a nice ratio
Also the environment is good surrounded via lot of knowledgeable people

Dislikes

The is very less or almost no college events
The academics management sometimes seem to be unresponsive
There is very confined parking space for those who have vehicles

Course Curriculum Overview

The relevance of the course is very high. Unlikely like many other colleges , the curriculum has great subjects to be inculcated. The frequency and timinh of the exam stays in for of the students and overall a nice experience

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 940000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement scenarios is very good considering the recession period. Students are given Preplacement Training starting from their 3rd Year. Actual companies start hiring from the late 6th semester till 8th Semester. The percentage of students placement is very good. My plans after getting the degree is to keep up with the job profile I will be at that time. The highest package as of now is 36LPA and the lowest goes to 3.3LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees for two semesters will be 2350000/- also this keeps on increasing every year. Also there is provision for hostel which again depends on whether you choose to stay in AC or NON AC rooms.

Campus Life

To be honest , there isn't a lot of cultural functions or events held here. The range of books and journals in the library is vast. The classrooms are fitted with Smart boards and AC. There are several clubs inside the campus which are student created and run

Admission

I applied to Silicon Institute of Technology and KIIT University . But I got admitted to SOA University as it was the best fit in my budget and the facilities it offers is also very lucrative. There is an entrance test to get admission in SOA University named SAAT

Faculty

The students to faculty ratio stays at around 70:1 . The faculty number is also enumerately high as compared to some other colleges. The exams are not very difficult to clear as the teachers provide a lot of important questions and practices

Night Life

The favourite hangout spot of mine is ofcourse the cafeteria. The college offers gym inside the campus. Also it has basketball court and Cricket Turf . The locality of the college is quite same and welcoming for the students

Placement Experience:

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

A balanced blend of learning,growth, and memories

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly comprhensive covering core subjects in the first two years and advanced electives like AI,cloud and Data analytics later, which influenced my decision to join. It balances theory with labs and projects,preparing students for real-world applications and higher studies. Exams are held twice a semester plus finals with moderate difficulty. Improvement is needed in making some courses ore practical and updating a few outdated topics.

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

Remarks:

College is surrounded by beautiful nature. 7-8 km from college is Hirakud Dam which is the longest Earthen dam in Asia. The Place Burla which college is located is away from traffic and city chaos and is very peaceful place to roam around for getting peace of mind.

A good university with a good environment. Healthy atmosphere.

Remarks:

KIIT University is a heaven on earth for students. I would suggest. Please do apply for this university if you are interested and you won't regret. The only bad part, it's a private University. And people don't realize it's worth saying it's not a government University so they won't be able to provide jobs. It's a myth. Infrastructure and exposure wise this university is the best.

Entrance Preview:

JEE mains and my score was 145. My percentile was 95 in boards. I chose this college partly because my brother has passed out from same college n partly because it has a good reputation in case of campus placements. Nearly every student is placed from campus only.

My first impression of the college I chose

I applied in vit chennai , lpu , kiit , and vit bhopal . I got confirmed admission from all the colleges but i chose this college as it was in my hometown and the rating and education background of the college was impressible. No i didnt get any rejection from any college i applied. The admission process includes online application which is free of cost.
