What Students Say

Likes

Things I liked is most is infrastructure. I mean the campus is awesome, the big plans at the entrance makes it attractive.
Second thing which i like is transportation. Connectivity of metro, railway, buses make travelling easy.
College has plenty of students clubs which works all the time in year.

Dislikes

Faculty are experienced but i think they should update themself.
Events are not on regular basis. I mean less number of events happen.
Sports has not give that importance in college, but if u play good u might get into university team.

Course Curriculum Overview

Talking about course curriculum, it is decided by SPPU university as my college is not autonomous. Course are good and gets updated in every 4-5 years. Each sem has softskill course which i think is important for students. And alternate sem has one group project compulsory under curriculum.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Generally internship students have to search but in case some student didnt got then faculty help students usings there contacts. Also as per the curriculum only 1 month of internship is allowed so most of the companies does not pay u unless you have someone in that company.

Placement Experience

There are campus placement in our college, Companies like Reliance, Godrej, TATA, L&T, Thermax etc visit our campus and offers package of about 7 LPA. Small company also vist for giving jobs and offfers package of 3-4LPA. Almost 50-70% students get placed evry year. Companies start visiting from 7th sem of engg.

Fees and Financial Aid

So FEES for general (OPEN) category student is roughly between 135000 to 145000. when i was in first year that time fees was 136000 for general category student. whereas, for OBC/EBC Its almost half or more than half that is roughly between 75000 to 85000. For VJNT/NT-(A/B/C/D)/TFWS the fees are 15000 to 18000. for ST/SC category fees is just 800. This fees concession is from government of maharashtra.

Campus Life

campus life here is vibrant with number of events like ashwamedh( cultural) and engineering today (technical & non techincal games) also Shivanjali which held every year.The library offers vast resource and classroom have modern tech. Also various types for clubs are present which encourage students to participate and become a member.

Admission

I choose AISSMSCOE for its strong acedemics, industry exposure, and affordable fees. Its labs experienced faculty and MoUs like No limit space offer great learning oppoertunites. located in pune, also it provides access to internships and clubs like universo. The admission is merit based via MHTCET/JEE through cap.

Faculty

Talking about faculty in my department, they are very much experienced but not that supportive. Some facultys are always very strict but if u do everything in given time. faculty will be very good for you. Talking about exams there are 2 exams in each sem (30 marks Insem and 70 marks Endsem). And overall marks are consider for your final sem result.

Night Life

Night life here is quite low. as the college hostel is far and outside college campus so there are not such any hangout spots. also gym and all is present and students do workout there. college canteen is within campus and its good with number of items/dish available there.

Most of students get placed in the company where they worked as intern. Which is PPO(pre placement offer). Highest package for this year is 1.5 crore .

The Overall experience of an average student

Placement Experience:

7th semester or 4th year makes you eligible for internships and placements. NVIDIA visits our college often i don't know much about the placements as im only in first year but yes the eligibility for the placement is over CGPA which eliminates a lot of students during the placements nearly ~75% of the students get placed (including off and in campus) the other 20% pursue higher studies the other 5% go for start ups

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum of the college is as same as any other colleges. College does follow traditional approach but college does conduct various programs like AICTE idea lab course in curriculum. Teaching method in college needs to evolve and college needs to encourage the coding and development culture. And as for exam, for every subject exam iseasy to moderate level but for selective subject (depends on faculty) exam level is difficult.

Admission: I had also applied for top colleges of Pune with tech related branches but the main reason I can't get their is due to high cutoff of colleges I had applied for top colleges like VIT Pune,PCCOE Pune ,PICT Pune ,D.Y.Patil Pune etc and through cap process depending on my percentile I get my current college AISSMS IOIT Pune and I confirmed for these I sorted the colleges depending on some parameter like last year cutoff, placement percentage, autonomous or not etc My college is in Maharashtra so around 80% of seats given to the students who are admitted through Maharashtra state entrance exam for engineering that is MHTCET and remaining 20% are seat are for candidates who admitted through JEE MAIN score so most students peffered MHTCET Exam for admission in our college The overall addmission process is like after declaration of result student make list of colleges and branches those he want to take that list is in a sequential manner then student had to upload that list on portal of MHTCET after 2-3 day result of that list comes and the college which is allocated seen to us then it depend on us that we want to confirm that college and branch or go for next round total 3 rounds are take place in that process and after confirmation of college reporting has been done offline to the college for final addmission process...Read More

Reviewing the journey up till now !!

I gave several exams and cracked them , but due to some or the other factor , I couldn't choose any other college. Due the ongoing CBSE boards, I couldn't register for MHTCET which is apparently a state exam for MAHARASHTRA . You can opt for different colleges in MAHARASHTRA after giving this exam.
