LIFE AT YENEPOYA UNIVERISTY

Forensic science itself is a very interesting course to learn and to experience . Internships are really cool and gives you a really different environment. The course curriculum is very interesting and gives you all the details and necessary information on the course. Hands on workshops were also conducted in the department. The internal exams were 1.30 hour long and final semester exams were 3 hours long

I have done my internship at High Court of Kerala and Forensic Science Laboratory in Kasaragod. There was no stipend it was just a normal internship to learn and experience things around. The internship period was one month long for each.

This is a three year course and I have paid 1,20,000 in my first year, then 1,00,000 for the next two years. The admission fee was 25,000, total tuition fee was 3,20,000. There was concession in fees for students who scored above 80% in their 12th boards.

The campus of my degree college was too smaller comparing to the main university of yenepoya. There was a main cultural program called Yen Aura which will be conducted every year where all the students and teachers participate. And in between there will be freshers day programs, some specific day related program , fashion week programs and farewell programs also there are also departmental programs conducted There are clubs like litereary club, environment club, NSS, culinary club, media clubs etc

I was only focused in this particular college that is Yenepoya because it's different from all other colleges in Mangalore for its standards. There is an online admission portal through which we can easily get the admission by paying the registration fees after that you will be called for the counselling day where you have to pay the rest fees and fill in the hostel details

Certain lecturers are very comfortable and approachable at all times. But some lecturers depends on their mood and behave rudely to the students. Yoshitha Maam, Gokul Maam, Sannidhi Maam, Anjali Maam were some really approachable teachers and were liked by all the students. In a semester there will be two internal exam of 30 marks each which will be then converted along with assignments to internal assessment for final exam. The final semester exam will be out of 75 and then including internal asses 25 marks it will be 100.

A big huge library with all the books related to the course and a very good environment where we can read and learn peacefully . There are different hostels for our college like Mayur hostel , Jeppu hostel , Hassan chamber and many more . The timings for girls and boys is 6.30 pm. There are two big malls City centre and Forum Fizza Mall to hangout and movie theatres and many many cafés with different ambience
