Course Curriculum Overview

5

The Course curriculum is equivalent to that of the GATE syllabus. As i was preparing for the GATE Exam it was a very helpful for me. Here still the traditional method of teaching is more prefered as use of PPT and Blackboard. More modern and practical and visualize way of teaching can be adopted. It not the specific problem its seen in most of the colleges

Placement Experience

3

Placement is very low in the college currently due to recession in the field. Yet the TPO is trying his best to attract the companies for the students. Generally students are allowed to take placement from the 7th Semester, but you can apply for off campus placements from 5-6 semester also, if someone wants to apply for it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly for open or General category Fees is 84000 For OBC/EWS its around 44000 For TFWS its around 17000 And for SC/ST/NT its 4500 We have to apply for state government scholarship programme for its sanctionment or in case if failedd to do so in that academic year, the student has to pay the whole fees.

Campus Life

3

College was average. Mostly like a typical college ones. Cultural activities and social interaction are very limited. We have an annual Gathering Event named Symphony which is the only event college carry out it in an academic year. Other small tech competitions do take place but they are not that of high scale.

Hostel Facilities

4

The Hostel Facilities is quiet decent as per the charges. The Rent is aroun 9000 per year which is very affordable. They provide Bed, Shelf, Table and Chair in the Room. The Room has occupancy of 3. The Hostel has its Mess which runs on contract and gets changed after each contracts renews. The mess fees is not included and has to be paid monthly

Admission

As i was not able to achieve better scores in my MHTCET Exam and the most of the Top Colleges were out of my reach. I came to settle with my current college. The college is well connected to the city area and has a good surrounding region.

Faculty

4

Faculty ratio is around 1:10. The exams are on the moderate scale except some tough subjects like Algorithms and System Programming. Each Semester generally has 5 subjects. Each having 100 Marks for it. The Exams are conducted in the following pattern: Midsem : 20 Marks paper Internal Assignement and Submissions : 10 Marks Final End Semester Exam : 100 Marks paper (later converted to 70) Practical Exam consist of 50 marks including Internals and Externals

Night Life

4

College hostel gate closes at 10 for Boys and its 7:30 for Girls Hostel. If someone wants to experience Nightlife this city is quite an early sleeper. Library and other stuff also gets closed early. Yet it is quite safe surrounding around.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
