Course Curriculum Overview

4

I wanted to choose computer science core branch but due to unavailability I chose cs-IoT it does cover all the required subjects for the placements. Not all subjects but a few subjects do help us prepare for the real world. For improvement I would suggest the teachers to be more actively involved and help students in their projects even if it's their personal project The frequency and timings of exams are proper

Internships Opportunities

4

As mentioned earlier JPMC 75K , ORACLE 50K , DE SHAW 30K, UNPLATFORMS 10K these companies provide internship opportunities in our college They make us work on their front end and back end works mostly like making landing pages , few of them also worked with APIs ...depends on the team honestly !

Placement Experience

4

In our college in 2-2 we got a companies like JPMC, oracle, unplatforms for internships In 3-1 start we got DE Shaw for internship From 3-2 ending almost 4-1 starting all the placements started Numerous companies like catalogue , JPMC , indium , oracle , Darwin box, zenoti , chubb , TCS , delloit ,Accenture , ibm , tech Mahindra , via plus , ltimind tree and numerous other companies come to our campus. This year tcs hired 448 students from our campus and Accenture mostly hires around 300+ every year. Highest package this year is 51LPA from Microsoft office campus Till now on campus highest package is 25LPA by catalogue I think an average of 5LPA is offered in our college I think more that 60-65% students get placed in our college I am willing to work after my degree

Fees and Financial Aid

Our year wise fees is 1.31 LPA but in the first year they collect upto either 1.37 or 1.41 according to the branch you are in. For people coming via JEE Mains and TS EAMCET the fees is 1.31Lakhs For people coming via management their fee is 3.5 lakhs TS Government provides reimbursement for students below 10k EAMCET rank There are also merit scholarships like national scholarship that provides10k per annum for student if applied for it!

Campus Life

5

Oue annual fest is Sintillashunz . It's usually held in March - April Technical fests are ecficio and convergence they are held in December usually Library usually has all types of books but you will find very few books of entertainment like story books VNR VJIET has best sports facilities, but you have to be consistent All the clubs are run by students mostly like nss, csi, kritomedh, etc

Hostel Facilities

4

Rooms are very clean and hygienic , regular cleaning of room and bathrooms . You have 5 rooms in a flat 3 sharing 2 sharing or single room Meals are good and hostel have a fixed menu like for break fast Monday - bonda Tuesday - tomato rice Wednesday - upma or semya Thursday - utappam Friday - wada Saturday - Puri Sunday - dosa With idly everyday except sunday The room is luck based u can't ask for the type of room u need Although hostel is good I think it's a little over priced I live in college hostel

Admission

I heard that vnr and cbit are the colleges that are good in both studies and extra curricular activities . Then considering the hostel facilities , location and I heard cbit had a bit of drug culture so I joined VNR So I joined VNR via my JEE mains percentile I got 95 percentile in mains . My admission process was quite short we just selected this college and according to my percentile I got a branch we were satisfied and paid fee for both college and hostel

Faculty

3

Faculty student relationship is not soo good , they will just come , teach and leave. There are very few faculty in our department so one faculty will be teaching multiple subjects hence they might lack expertise in subject Ration is approx 1 faculty for 150 students I liked bhupesh sir due to his expertise and enthusiasm in subject and the energy with which he teaches. I also like Nagaraju sir I didn't really like anyone elses teaching may be because they were too light or too strict We have 5-6 exams per semester . Mid exams are pretty easy but semester exams may be a bit tough (not very tough). The course curriculum is relevant!

Night Life

2

Our college has a gym but it isn't really used . Libraries open early in the morning at 8am and close at 8 pm In Girls hostel you are allowed only till 6pm and after 5:30 am In boys hostel it's not very strict after 5:30 am and before 10-11 pm is allowed You have various places to eat near by in pragati nagar you can go to dominos , polar bear , gandikota used to be here , panchakattu is nice , bbq etc

placement scenario at mu is developing but not yet at the level one would expect from an institute that markets itself as industry alligned , while there are some good opportunities , overall placement perfomance is average eligibility: student become elgible for campus placements in 7th semester aptitude training , pre placement talks usually begin in 6th semester companies visited tech mahindra , infosys , tcs , cognizant , accenture , hexaware highest package 12 - 14 LPA avg package 4-6 LPA PLACEMENT RATE ; around 65 -70 % for cse and related branches , for non cse percentage is significantly lower since placement scene isnt very strong i plan to prepare for gate or gre , explore certifications in data science or ai or possibly apply for research based ms programs

Placement Experience:

Students usually become eligible for campus placements around the beginning of their final year (typically the 7th semester for a B.Tech course). Many companies do visit the campus for recruitment. Some of the names mentioned in reviews include Amazon, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Sutherland, HSBC, SAP, and Wipro. It's hard to say the exact number of offers made each year, as this can vary. However, reports suggest that a good number of students do get placed. In 2024, one report mentioned 2000+ students were placed from the overall batchs. Details on the highest and average packages can vary based on the source and the year. The highest package reported for 2024 seems to be around ?44 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum), with some sources mentioning it reaching up to ?40 LPA in rare cases. One specific placement in Amazon was reported at ?44 LPA. The average package is generally cited as being in the range of ?4.3 LPA to ?4.5 LPA. Some reviews give slightly different figures, so it's good to consider this as an approximate range. Specific company-wise package details for 2024 show offers from companies like Amazon (?44 LPA), Mentor Graphics (?20 LPA), and many others ranging from ?6 LPA to ?10 LPA. Profiles offered would vary depending on the company and your branch. The percentage of students getting placements is also reported differently across sources. Some reviews suggest around 60% to 90% of students get placed. However, official placement reports might give a more precise figure. For the 2024 batch, one report mentioned 652 students placed out of the graduating batch.

Placement Experience:

Around 40% to 50% of students get placed in entire college. It is totally based on the skill of the student if students has very good skill training and placement officer also offers to apply for companies which only takes skilled students the college is totally computer science and only one section has ECE which is comparatively has less placements compared to other deparments since there is no computer science background this is the drawback for taking Electronics and Communication but if students are skilled in the Electronics backgroung Veda IIT which provides internship and job oppurtunities in VLSI and Embedded Systems but the student has to be a skilled person in the electronics subjects.
