Course Curriculum Overview
The course is as per the new education policy and nearly relevant . The option of International Business is something that not many institutions provide and it influenced my decision to choose this course. This course doesn't fully prepare you for real world applications but it's decent enough to get someone a job. The frequency of exams is semester wise with each semester having a mid term and an end term. The difficulty level is moderate.
Internships Opportunities
There are a good number of opportunities for internships, however not every pay stipends . Mostly regional companies and startups comes for interns and the avrage stipend a student can expect should be between Rs 3000 to 5000. The roles that are offered here are mostly of HR , finance , marketing and sales.
Placement Experience
The placements here are very avrage nothing extraordinary. But there is an opportunity student can get good placements if they have some extra skills. Students get eligible for campus placements after completion of 2 years or 4 semesters. The highest package was 10 Lakhs offered to a student to work in oman , and avrage package is 3 lakhs domestic. The placement is around 60 to 65 percent. My plan is to appear for CAT and try to get in an IIM.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees is Rs 90000 approximately semester wise and yearly Rs 180000 plus Rs 5000 annual registration charges and Rs 5000 examination fees each semester. There is a 3% yearly increase in the fees. The scholarship is based on either class 12 marks which should be above 75% or the student needs to score 9 CGPA or above each semester. I haven't taken the campus employment, but there are several options available each year with stipends of Rs 3 to 5 thousand.
Campus Life
The campus life is quite good , though on a bit expensive side, but students get a robust security and easy access to all the extra facilities like libraries, gym , sports complex and ground at their disposal. There is an annual fest known as Chorus held every year , apart from that there are some minor fests also like freshers party and dandia nights for navratri . There are many sports clubs and students can enroll in any club of thier interest .
Admission
Student must have scored decent in class 10th and 12th and need to clear the Personal Interview. Or the student can take the test conducted by the University each year ( SUAT ). The difficulty level of the exam is moderate . Application form , it's fees and dates can be found on the official website of the University . There is not much benefit from reservation.
Faculty
The faculty is skilled and have a good approach/ attitude towards teaching. Some of the faculty are from the field and have experience in the subject matter. The student to faculty ratio is said to be 1:20 . Interaction between students and teachers takes place on daily basis , and one can easily approach any faculty.
Interview Experience
Yes there was a personal interview conducted shortly after my entrance exam ( SUAT ) , the interview was mostly to know about my abilities and weaknesses, about my likes and dislikes and what aim do have to achieve by choosing this course. They do a lot of counter questions from the answers student provides , but if you've scored good then you'll eventually clear the personal interview. The exam is not much hard and can be cleared easily of you have the basic concepts of maths in mind and your grammar is good. One can easily prepare for this test within a week by using mock papers for common entrance tests or practice materials from CUET.
Night Life
The overall night life in the campus is not all that great as the number of cafeterias are limited , there is always crowds on good spots and the campus timings are , no day scholars are allowed in the campus after 5 Pm , and the hostel also don't allow going out after 8:30.
