Course Curriculum Overview

3

Tech was booming when i joined and so i obviously choose CS stream, there are cons as well, we still have other career options to pursue depending on what you want We got training for everything here.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm a Computer Science and engineering student, i joined pretty late around december since i had my JEE MAIN counsellings, and by the time in veltech they were having sem exams from within a month, so they charged me 3L approx, but the average fee for my course(b.tech in CSE) is around 1.5-2.5 L depending on the time you join and if you give the campus entrance which is VTUEE, that score counts for your scholarship, along with your 10th and 12th marks and your JEE score cards. Since the biggest and majority of people are from CSE, the chances of fee increasing is seen when compared to other departments.

Campus Life

4

Overall it was a 7.5/10, we have an average campus experince, we only has 1 fest for the entire year, LAVAZA which was conducted around feb or march, we do have other common eminities like library, canteen, student clubs, sports, research part, incubator etc., But you're campus life totally depends on the friends you make and the memories, that's all matters

Admission

When i finished my JEE main, it was almost december and i didnt give any other private institute entrances like VITEE,SRM etc. So i dont have a backup back then , i was looking for good institutes and I choose VIT Vellore, when we enquired for admission they told to enroll next year and i dont want to hold back a semester, so i looked for other institutes and found veltech (recommended by a senior). Here the admission process was smooth and simple, they check your 10th and 12 th scores alone and jee if you gave the test.

Faculty

3

Faculty to student ratio was around 2:4 , veltech usually has experinced faculty so they have good teaching methods and industry level course work, extensive labs and hands on projects... although they can be strict sometimes, not all of them. But there were some friendly faculty who were quite jovial, solved students problems including personal one's, always supported them. When it comes to exams, it totally depends on the subject, but the paper diffuclty was around -7/10.

Night Life

1

WE DONT HAVE A NIGHT-LIFE HERE. our college closes around 7 max, and no one is allowed into the campus after this time, our hostels are not inside the campus, except for the girls hostel..which dint have access to college directly and we had really strict rules here, no outing unless you bring a letter from your mentor, and then they call youre parents to confirm and approve. there's constant checking and cc cam monitoring, we barely went our or had fun . its the worst

this is where they lie the most , they claim to have placement records of 97% but in reality its just 10%. because of huge student crowd , placing everyone is one big task. the company that comes here for hiring are mostly startups and some lesser known company . branches like mechanical and EEE have it even more difficult time to get placement.the highest package of over college is of 16 lakhs .
