INDUSTRY RELATED CONTENT - The curriculam intergarates technical,practical, and interdiciplinary subjects that align with industry needs. RESEARCH OPPERTUNITIES- Students have access to research labs are encouraged to publish papers, which is significant attraction for those intrested in academics and research oriented careers. PREPARTION FOR INDUSTRY- the inclusion of workshop , industry visits , and live projects prepare students for the job market. Recruiters from top companies visit campus. reflecting relevance of skill imparted. SUGGESTION FOR IMPROOVEMENT- 1) Flexibility in course selection. 2) Soft skilles devolepment. 3) Innovative Teaching methos, 4) examination difficulty. EXAMINATION STRUCTRE AND DIFFICULTY- 1)frequency- the academic year splitted into semesters and internals assessmnets are conducted periodically. 2) Timming- exams are spaced to avoid excessive stress , but the schedule requires consitent effor to manage. 3) Difficulty- while most students find it manageable with regular study, the difficulty level varies to individual and subject.

SASTRA have collabrated with diverse comapnies include TCS, INFOSYS ETC . the roles revolves around software devolepment , analytics and technical support. stipend- vary significantly based on company and role varies from 5k to 20 k. PROJECTS AND OUTCOME- projects during internship invole real- world problem solving , such as devoleping software modules, conducting data analysis, or working on process improovements.

CAMPUS PLACEMENT AT SASTRA UNIVERSITY 1) ELIGIBILITY- Students are typically most eligible for campus placements in their 6 the semester. in some cases , companies offer internship in earlier semester. which can lead to pre-placement offer. 2)COMAPNY VISITING- SASTRA hosts numerous companies, including major players such as - AMAZON, PAYPAL , DELOITTE, TCS, WIPRO, ZOHO and TVS. In 2024 the placement cycle is around 120-150 comapnies visited the campus,offering a variety of rolelike softwaredevolepment,hardware engineering etc. PLACEMENT PACKAGE- 1) highest - rs 45 lpa in 2023 2) average - rs 6lpa 3) lowesr - rs 3.2lpa PLACEMENT PERCENT- aprox 70-90 %of students secure placement, dependeing on the branch and program. PLANS POST-DEGREE- intermediate employement or plan for higher studies, articularly abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

ACADEMIC FEES STRUCTRE - Btec of 8 semesters , 70000-80000 per semester for merit and 5000 usd for one year tenure for NRI .( includes lab fees and miselinary for academics) Hostel fees- 16000 per year . Mess fees - 5000 per month. caution fees 1000 . admission fees- 1000. IN Satra only two catoegaries are followed -NRI and merit. 1 lakhs 60 thousand and 5000 us dollars respectively.

ANNUAL AND TECHNICAL FESTIVAL- 1) DAKSH - a national level techno management fest held annually , typical in February. 2) KURUKSASTRA- The University's cultural fest, often organised in March or April , features music , dance and literary events. LIBRARY RESOURCES- The central library, Saraswathi sadan is a 47000 sqt facitates over 100000 books and 500 + journal subscriptions. CLASSROOM AND TECHNOLOGICAL FACILITIES- Classrooms are equiped with modern teachings aids , including projectors and high-speed internet. Labs are updated with industry relavant tecnology,providing practical learning experience. SPORTS - University supports wide range of sports, including cricket , basketball, and tennis . competetion like COLOSSEUM and intra college fests like FEURA are held egularly. GYM also available for students well being. STUDENT CLUBS- acitivity club include the LITERARY CLUB, FINE ARTS, AUTO CLUB among others . these club organise weekly events and competetions.

Hostel Facilities

FACILITIES OF HOSTEL- options of 3 in one , single , 2 in one for common bathrrom. bath attached- 3 in one , 2 in one , single. hostel menu changes periodically provides hiher quality vegetarian meals , have no flaw for vegetarian eaters . hostel are provided for students who are atleast 70 km or far from campus and 16000 is pretty affordable compared to competetions. I have opted for hostel provided by college.

Admission

OTHER COLLEGES CONSIDERED - VIT, SRM , AMRITA due to similair academics and placement oppertunities. SASTRA is chosen for its balanced fees on academics, research , and affordability. REJECTION FORM OTHER COLLEGES- Rejections are linked to competition,particularly in top-tier colleges like IITs and NITs. The decision arises from its practical cutoff criteria and the absence of reservation system. ADMISSION PROCESS- 1) Stram 1- 70% of seats based on Jee mains combined with class 12 marks. 2) Stream 2- 30% of seats filled purely upon 12 th score , cuttoff vary annually but high for in demand courses like computer science.

SASTRA University maintains a faculty to student ratio of approximately 1:14 with over 700 serving teaching faculties. FACULTY STUDENT RLATIONSHIP- Students report possitive intraction with faculty member , noting their proffesionalism and willingnesss to guide students in bith academics and career matters. NOTABLE FACULTY MEMBERS- dr Alageshwaran sir , proffesor who demonstared deep subject knowledge and effective teaching methods. the overall quality of teaching staff is considered assert to SASTRA University. LESS LIKED FACULTY- Negative feedback generally revolves around a few faculty members being less interactive or rigid in their teaching methods . However , suc feedback is subjective and varies depending on the student experience and expectations. EXAMINATION- SASTRA University conducts a variety of exams, with blend of internal assessments and end-semester exams. The difficulty level is moderate to high, requiring consistent preparation. Passing rates are typically good, though exact statistics on failure rates are not disclosed. the curriculam are often discribed as rigorous and relavant to industry standards.

Night Life

GYM - seperate gym for men as well as women . timming morning 5-7 and evening 5-7. CAFETERIAS- 2 canteens - krishna canteen and southern canteen. HOSTEL TIMMING- boys in time 8pm and for women in time of 6 pm HANGOUT - less as thanjavur is small town though popular are mall and big temple. its is safe environment as its friendly neighbourhood

this is where they lie the most , they claim to have placement records of 97% but in reality its just 10%. because of huge student crowd , placing everyone is one big task. the company that comes here for hiring are mostly startups and some lesser known company . branches like mechanical and EEE have it even more difficult time to get placement.the highest package of over college is of 16 lakhs .
