Parul University Decoded: A Student's Perspective on Education and Lifestyle

I am Studying B.Tech CSE specializing in Cyber Security. My interest for Cyber Security was from very starting. Though I am not getting much support from the university in terms of Cyber only, but I think it is better for Core branch students. Also the curriculum is not good for real-world applications; it is more theoretical. My suggestion will be that it should focus more on practical things

Honestly, Placements are average in my university. Companies mostly do mass hiring. The average placement lies around 4-5 LPA. For my Cyber Specialization, I don't think there is good placement option.

The full fees of my university for b.tech cse branch is Rs. 1,24,000 per annum and my hostel fees is Rs 1,40,000 per annum. This fees comprises of the tution fees and they also provide scholarship on the basis of merit. I got 40% scholarship on my tution fees but only for the first year for my 12th marks

Campus Life, events and clubs are the main attraction of this university. I don' think any student would be disappointed with these three factors. Almost every festival is celebrates on a good-scale. Also many big personalities often visit our university.

The infrastructure of hostels are very nice according to me. Registration process is both online and offline. Only one-thing that I mention before is the food. I know mess food is mostly bad everywhere, but here I have the problem with the menu. They have to deal with non-Gujrati students also, so they should refine the menu according to that.

I was preparing for IIT/JEE but unfortunately I could not clear the exam. So I have to go for private universities. I did not applied for any other university, so I didn't get rejected. I directly applied for this University as it's fees was comparatively lower than most of the universities in Delhi NCR. SO my only reason was financial problem.

Most faculty members in our universities don't stay for a long period. So the relation between faculty and student is very limited. Other than that, I think faculties are good in teaching what they have to teach about the curriculum. There are 2 main examinations in a semester, one is mid-sem and other one is end-sem. There are also practical vivas, before end-sem.

Our university is very far from the main city. The night life for the students residing in hostels is till 9:30pm only. After 9:30pm, no-one is allowed to go out from the hostel. The gym, cafeterias also close till 9 pm. Only medical libraries are open all night,
