- The library inside the campus is small as compared to the number of students
- Student policies can be developed in a better way
Course Curriculum Overview
As my course is fully based on accounting and financing that's why I choose this course and the curriculum prepare us well enough for the real world applications as they follow the ACCA guidelines and syllabus. There can be some improvements in the teaching methods like the teachers only teach in English language due to which some students face difficulties. The timings of the exams can be better as they have the mid term in just one and a half month before the end terms.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like SRF foundation provides internships but there's no stipend for it. The tasks depends upon your role and company for which you are working for. It's compulsory for every student to do 2 months internships in total to get a degree
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for campus placements after 6th semester. Few big companies like Amazon and some start up companies also visit for the jobs recruitment. Highest package offer was 21 lakhs annually and average package was 7.5 lakhs annually. Only 40-50 percent of the students get job placements. My plan after completing the degree is to pursue MBA from a good Business School
Fees and Financial Aid
Registration fees which is refundable after completing the course: 50,000 Tuition fees per semester: 3,50,000 Hostel fees per semester which is compulsory for every student: 3,10,000 Tuition fees per semester for other courses varies from 3,00,000-4,50,000 Financial aid is available for students whose family income is less than 12,00,000 per year Scholarships are also there depending upon your class 12th percentage, achievement in sports which is around 10%-50%
Campus Life
OP Jindal biggest event is Biswamil which happens in the month of October. It's a three day event where celebrity singers also come and perform live. Students from other colleges are also allowed. There are thousands of books and journals available for students in the library. The facilities and technological provisions within the classroom are very advanced like we have smart boards, air conditioners etc. Our college also focuses very deeply in sports activities like we have Polo, squash, tennis, snooker, football, hockey, basketball etc and we have their leagues also every year. There are also many social groups and clubs like rotaract club, animal welfare society, environmental society etx
Hostel Facilities
There are alot of facilities provided in the room like Ac, study table, cleaning staff. The food is also amazing and menu is different every day. The registration process is included in the starting only for hostel and the price is worth.
Admission
I got admission in other few colleges also like Ashoka University, MIT-WPU but I choosed OP Jindal because it had much better facilities and opportunities than others. Also MIT was far away from my hometown. I got rejected from DU as my CUET marks were less than the margin. The admission process of my college is very simple. You just have to open their official site and register there. After that you have to fill the details and form. After that you will have a examination round if you haven't given any competitive exam before that. After passing in the exam round, you'll have an interview round. After your selection you just have to pay the fees.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is almost equal and the faculty is very great with the students as they listen to the students and understand their point of view. They are easily approachable to us as we have a faculty office where we can visit any time. Also we can mail them and they reply within a few time. I liked the teaching faculty, cleaning faculty as they do their work on time and I don't like the mess faculty that much as their few policies are not that good. We have two exams per semester one is mid term and the other one is final term. Both are divided into 50 marks each. Only 10% of the students fail to clear the exams. The course curriculum is fully relevant according to me.
Night Life
We have gym inside campus which is open till 1 AM. Also the library is 24 hours open for students. There are no hostel in timings. The campus out timings are only till 10 PM. Inside campus we have food court area as well, also we have a cafe. Outside campus there are not many places to hangout
Other Applied Colleges
Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com]
I thought OP Jindal is a much better college than DU
