Educational analysis

The positive about Loyola is it's brand image outside of the college and also it's network of alumni's. However the faculty of the college is not so good based on the brand that it possess, the curriculum is still the same as all other colleges and there's no such change to bring out.

The course curriculum is good, however like in india it's outdated. The exam structure in my college is divided into two parts, internals & externals each of 100 marks. The internals are divided into two parts further which is 40 marks assignment and the rest 60 marks is divided into two papers of 30 each. Then there is external semester exam of 100 marks, and altogether 200 marks are converted into 100 at the end.

My college has a placement drive during third year, and it's pretty good, companies like Deloitte, Amazon etc come for placements. Although it's not easy to get selected either but the opportunities provided are pretty good. And my college doesn't provide internships.

The events ceoebrated in my college includes, college day, one international conference, an intercollege cultural fest, alumni day and a lot of other stuff like sports day etc. The international conference is always organised by the students in the third year. The intercollege cultural fest includes participation from a lot of colleges in india as well.

The fee structure for shift-1 in my college is cheap as they say. However the fee for shift- 2 is feasible enough considering the college as such, however the exam fees which is taken separately must not be done when the normal fees is not such low.

There are many scholarship opportunities available for students who have accumulated good grades in college. Although, I have not opted for any such scholarships. My college also provides scholarships for studying the same course for 1 year in a college of US, this scholarship can be availed by any one student from each shift.

There are a lot of extra curricular activities in my college like sports such as football, basketball and cricket. There are a lot of intercollege tournaments to participate in. They are pretty good for individuals who make use of them which provides them with altogether a good college life experience.

The alumni network of Loyola College is pretty strong which includes a lot of South Indian celebrities such as Actor Vijay. The alumni network of Loyola is pretty strong, although that's helpful for the college only not the students as such.

The faculty in my college is good overall with all teachers having sufficient knowledge in their subjects. They teach through powerpoint presentations in class, and numerical subjects are taught well by teachers as well.
