Infrastructure of the college is good with many facilities needed by the students
Food here is pretty decent but not all foods are that much worth the money

Course Curriculum Overview

I took this course as I was interested in computer science and to become a good IT professional. Teaching methods are good but not up to the mark. But you will be given opportunities to explore here which is the best

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience

Seventh semester students of engineering and 5th semester students of arts will be able to appear for placements.Largest package was of 8 lakha and minimum was 2lakhs. Number of students placed are less in number and not that much good companies are coming here

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees based on the cutoff of 12th standard mark. As I got 89.7% my fees was 60000 per semester. For 90% and above it is 30000 per semester. For 70% and below it was 100000 per semester. This was the structure in 2021 but now the fees has increased.

Campus Life

The sports and cultural activities are encouraged and Orion is the main event of our college which would be conducted every year on May month. There's no politics involved and anybody who's interested and talented enough can take part in it. There are many other club and department events too.

Admission

I applied at sastra and thiyagaraja college but my cut-off wasn't enough to get computer science course. So I opted this college as it is affordable and pocket friendly compared to other colleges in the state

Faculty

We have two cat exams before semester exam in each semester which acts as a part of the internals. Faculties of my department are somewhat good compared to other colleges in teaching. They are also trying to equip themselves with more learning

Night Life

I don't know much about nightlife as I'm a day scholar. But my friends used to say that girls in the hostel aren't permitted after 5 in evening without parents coming to pick them up. No gatepass is given too whereas for boys normal closing time is 8 in hostel. When they have gatepass beforehand, boys are allowed until that time

DRNGPIT is a tough gig to survive!!

Placement Experience:

Campus placements happens and happens usually from September to December. Every student's are asked to appear for the interview rounds and these opportunities are provided to us in our second last semester. Mostly all are placed before the final semester of theirs.

BSA CRESCENT, THE BRUTAL TRUTH

The affordability combined with the half-decent nirf ranking is what made me want to choose this college. One of the ther college i got admission from is Satyabama, which i didnt go through with is partly becuase of how strict the college is, and also because it is slightly more expensive than Crescent. Hindustan and KCG are some of the other i didn't go through with, the reason being their lower nirf rankings. I wasn't rejected from any of the colleges because i only applied to colleges i had a realistic chance of getting in. BS Abdur Rahman has it's own entrance examinations which are conducted 3 times. They dont determine your fees structure, but they do determine the course/department you get. the better you perform at the entrance exam, the more likely you are you get the course of your choosing.
