College Journey:My admission to journey of obtaining a degree

Courses are very relevant where for first years it is almost same for all btech people but after that courses with specialization have subjects different from each degree and each specialization. There are subjects which actually teach you industry techniqies that are actually used in the companies. From the second year you will be having one professional elective in the fourth sem and in fifth sem you will be having one professional elective and one open elective in the academics.

Barclays came with the stipend offer of 90k for studets. Microsoft consultancy came for a stipend of 25k something. Wells fargo comes every year for a stipend of 90k as well. Companies usually come for SDE internship so project realted to Software Development like web devlopment,app development and also DSA is very inportant.

Firstly SRM has a very good placement rate, Campus placements are rightly provided in the campus. It starts from the 5 sem where companies come for providing internships to the students. Wells Fargo,Barclays,Renault,Accenture,etc come for giving placements highest package according to me was 52lpa in 2024 and average was about 7.19lpa 95% actually are placed from our college getting a job offer is the main plan

I didnt recieve any scholarships or any type of reservation discount so my fee for the four year Btech. Computer Science Engineering in Specialization with Cloud Computing is 3,50,000 per year which is 14,00,000 rupees. Also they give scholaships to the yearly topper from each departments. One of my friends got a 70k scholarship from college which is deducted from the college fees. There is an exam fee each sem which account to actual 3000 average per student each sem so that is not included in the course fees. There are 8 sems so it can be upto 32000 of exam fees not included in the actual course fees.

There are many clubs and all forms of cultural,scientific and recreational clubs are there in the SRM university.There is very good college sports facility where sports of all kinds ae played. Our SRM library is of four floor it has all the necessary collection of books available. World class facility labs are provided in the SRM college, we have a mac lab also and all the labs are well equipped with world class facilities. There are student run clubs, fests. Aarruush is a student run techo-management fest and there is also Milan which is a cultural fest carried out by Directorate Of Student Affairs.

Hostels are pretty clean with all the good facilties in the hostel. People get AC/NON AC options in the hostel. Hostel areas are a non tobbaco are where tobacco and other substance are highly illegal are very risky because if you are found they will detain you from hostel as well as the college. Registration for the hostel in done online through the college website,there is very high ask for hostels in the college,therefore one has to be vigilant while booking. Potheri is an area where you can rent a Pg or a flat.

I had applied to the colleges like vit vellore and mit manipal also. but due to the unfair ranking by vit my rank was actually very bad but SRM exam gave me a good rank and then the coursewhich i wanted was available so it helped me take admission in the college SRM. I got a rejection from VIT because of my rank. Give the SRMJEE exam then according to the rank counselling will be done and after that you get options to choose from number of degrees availabe.

Faculties are usually very good but sometimes they can be very strict depending according to the year you are in. First year faculties are usually very strict academically as well as for the dress code and the conduct in the class. There can be faculties who try to give you more work but thats totally for our benefit and not for teachers.Teachers here are very helpful in all cases of academics.They provide timely support as well as resources for the exam preparation.

There is an intime of 9pm for boys in the hostel and 7pm for girls in the hostel. People cannot go out of the hostel after 9pm. Although we can go to the library with proper permission slip. There is no place to roam at night
