Course Curriculum Overview

5

Well my dad wanted me to choose banking as my career options and I love the way accounts works so I had already made up my mind in choosing this course even before choosing a college . College prepare various programs for us to understand the corporate world like presentation, group discussion activities and programs like work Mela . Aside from that we have industry visit every year as well and various seminar held regarding the GDP , budget and other important topics.

Internships Opportunities

4

During my last year we had various seminar for further studies and jobs held for us . We had work Mela where we could propose our business ideas. We had make intership program from industry and banks . Many students got job through that . Mostly sales job , Advisor job post is given to us . No idea about the fees but can say it was atleast 2,00,000 to 3,00,000 average package yr

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees I paid for the First year of BAF was somewhere about 13500 (don't remember the exact amount so I'm going to use round of amount) ; For second year 15,750 and last year 17000 . The amount increase as the college year goes ahead .There maybe some changes in fees now

Campus Life

5

We have a Cultural group here who organised various programs like games , twining day , chocolate day , tag day etc and bigger programs like saree day , traditional days etc. During January or February the sport group held sport program which consist of various indoor and outdoor sports. They give prices as well to encourage students to participate in it . Every class have cameras and projector. We also have cultural mela , inter college functions as well

Admission

Honestly speaking I thought to take admission in Wilson and Andrews college, As I was stuck in COVID situation I applied for GG college because it was near to me as compared to other colleges, the application process was easy but I had difficulty in paying the fees but thankfully my problem was solved out by staff member. I had decided that once this COVID end I will change the college but I had made friends and had formed good bonding with the professor so thought to complete here only .

Faculty

The course are finished before the exam started and proper revision is also taken by the professors, the exam structure is well and strict. If we have any doubt we can definitely ask our professor and they are ready to help without any delay. I really can't choose just one from my class professor to the Library staff and the pion helper with really kind and generous, had fun spending 3 years with them . Exam are easy if you seriously study because the portion is taught well , there are students who fails and get KT's but the number of students passing are more.

Night Life

5

We have gym khana but I have never visited it as it's always packed by students. Library have very good books , past paper , last year students project that really help us . We have canteen facilities also but we students prefer more of outside food. There is this famous ' khau Galli' near our college which have various foods during breaks all students are seen there only. There is vasai fort and beach also near the college

The course is very good on paper. University has given like 8 subjects from which we have to choose 5. But this college itself chooses 5 subjects and students now have to learn only them ... Like in 3rd year sem 5 there was subject international finance I wanted to study that because baf course is all about finance but the college had subject management. So yeah be prepared for this. My colleges reputation is not that great because other city students come too. So for about teaching it's average

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is recommended for the students who want to pursue a career in the finance field or if someone who is looking to a course like CFA, this bachelors degree becomes handy. This course teaches you about the financial spectrum of the whole world and gives you an intricate understanding about different financial instruments and their relevance in the society. It teaches one of the most sought after skills in today's world, that is financial literacy. Still I think some of the subjects introduced under the NEP are completely irrelevant such as EVS and IKS. We as college students need to give quality time on some professional subjects, not that these subjects are not important but they need to be emphasised in the early classes. There are three internal exams of 10 marks each and 20 minutes for each paper. The end sem exam is of 30 marks for minor subjects and 60 marks for major subjects. Also I feel that the difficulty level is okay.
