Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very well planned and well designed for the benefit of the students. It provides enough time for the students to improve their skills along with their academics. Each subject has different types of grading components that ensure that the students has gained knowledge in all possible ways. Each subject has regular monthly tests that do account for some part of the final grade. These tests help the students to cover their whole syllabus in a more detailed way.
Internships Opportunities
Almost all top companies operating in India and the world provide internships in the college but limited to extremely few students. These companies often provide a stipend of the range 15K-80K. But these are often limited to 5-10 students. Internship opportunities for others students are very difficult.
Placement Experience
The college does offer placements to all students who wish to get one. Students are eligible to get internships and jobs from 5th semester onwards. The current final year of the college has been placed only 65%. The current third year students have a very limited number of opportunities for internships and placements. Only the extremely top tier of students is placed as of now. My plan after my college is also to get placed in a good company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees for me is 350000 that has to be paid before the beginning of a new academic year. This is inclusive of all kinds of fees. Some students are awarded a scholarship based on the entrance exam for college admissions. Yearly scholarships can also be achieved by getting good grades which is merit based. There are absolutely no scholarships based on financial aid.
Campus Life
There are numerous events that held in the college throughout the year. There are cultural fests, sports fests, academic fests as well as dance and musical events and much more. Enough time and convenience is provided to the participating students for these events. There are two main events Aarush and Milan that take place in the odd and even semester of each year. The events usually have a registration fees and are extremely crowded.
Hostel Facilities
I live in the hostel within the campus itself. The campus provides different types of hostels tgat vary in number of students per room, attached/non-attached washrooms, AC/non-AC, etc. There are very limited seats in each hostel, often students don't get their desired hostels. Also the hostel fees is also very high. The mess provides good quality food that has a fixed timetable menu for each day of the week.
Admission
The admission into my college is through its own entrance exam that takes place through remote online mode. There is no specific criteria that does not allow any students. I had applied for a few other colleges too but couldn't get a seat in the desired branch. Or in some places the admission was offered late after I joined this college.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is pretty high and all sections of students have separate faculties for each subject. The faculties are sometimes available for the students other than class hours. The teaching is done in classrooms equipped with smart boards. 60% of the total marks for a subject account for internally graded components which are difficult to achieve and 40% accounts for the semester exam that is conducted at the end of the semester which are moderate in difficulty. There are a specified number of subjects in each semester ranging from 6-9. Usually half of these subjects are slightly difficult than the others.
Night Life
There is absolutely no night life in the college campus. Boys have to be inside their hostels by 9 pm and girls have to be inside their hostels by 6:30 pm. All the food places in the campus are closed by 7:30pm. Only students with special permission are allowed to visit the university library till 11pm
