Remarks

I applied in my college first then as a option I applied in Lucknow University and in the karamat college . The results are getting delayed in my college and lucknow university so my parents wants a confirmation so they paid total first year fees in the karamat college that is 22000 rs. But late I got a call from Isabella Thouburn College that I got selected and I can confirm mt seat by completing the details and lock the seat so it was my dream college so I immediately locked my seat in the I T College and got admission in IT college. Later I got to know that I was also selected in Lucknow University but it was late ,i already got admission in the IT college. I choose IT College over other because I have heard so much good thing about this college . The environment was good the discipline was good ,these all things are that I had heard previous so I just picked this college. I got no rejection from any of the applied colleges as i scored more than enough in my 10 and 12. The admission process in IT college was that I firstly completed the registration then I given the entrance exam and after that I got a call that I cleared my exam and I got selected.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

There were approx 80 students seated in a class . Total there are 360 students in my course but the students are divided in 4 sections of 80 students each. My college was girls college so there's no girls boy ratio. The cultural do not vary much in my college as all the students majorly belong to Lucknow or uttar pradesh only . Many students are from different state also as like my friend is from haryana itself but mjor portion of student belong to UP only . Student do attend classes for learning and more for attendance because the internal marks matters the most in my college and the teachers are so strict they do not give marks free of cost. I'll give only 60 marks in participating in class.

Internships Opportunities

0.5

There's no intership provided in the UG degree by the college if the student wants to do any internship she should have to find it on its own . And also there's no holiday that is provided for doing intership in BCom . Internships are provided only in the PG degree by the college and training time is also given to the students to do the intership and get a great experience that how the work is been actually performed. PPO is also provided to the PG students if they had done any internship.

Placement Experience

1.5

In BCom no placements are been provided but in PG courses like MBA , the placements and internship are been provided to the students who had given there best in their course duration. I do not know much about the placement cell as there's no placements importance in the UG degree provided by the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The degree that I choose BCom , in this course the fees is same for each category so there is no fees discrimination. The total fees that I paid in three year is approx 90,000 which means per year fees is 30000 . But the additional fees that I had to pay was rs 1000 per year as SGA memeber ( this is a community that is made in our college just like council members) and rs 150-200 each year for library . The fees is average from all the colleges in Lucknow. Mostly students do expenses in fooding and transport . The college do provide scholarship facility but only to whose whose pa income is below 1lakh and I do not lie in this category so I didn't get and scholarship in any of the years .

Campus Life

2

There's a basketball court in the campus near the hostel and there's a big garden where we can play any of the outdoor game . All the necessary gaming tools are provided by the college. College doesn't have the gym . College do have the swimming pool but due to unknown reasons the pool is empty with no water. Students are allowed to put there car and scooty in the parking area and have to take a token of rs. 50 once and after showing the token then can take out their vehicles otherwise they again have to pay some amount as parking fee. My college covers a huge area as it was established in 1870. The college have the cafeteria and canteen along with at the same place but cover a huge area. College has a some sick room in which girls having minor issues can take rest pr either go back home . There are no doctors or nurses. My campus life was neither good morning bad. It was average as I am an introvert so there are limited friends whom I was around overall within mt complete course years. Most of the students of my batch are pursuing post graduation degrees and some of them are posted in corporates and few of them are preparing for government jobs. College is closed at 5 pm anyhow so there's no nightlife . Only on events the nightlife is being enjoyed such as at dandiya night we were at campus till 9:00 pm and enjoyed alot . cafeteria closed as the college is closed. Students are not allowed to stay in campus so there's no chance of students to roam around the college except the hostellers. In the campus there's only cafeteria where students can hung out and outside there's pizza dine , Arjun momos, Domino's, hazelnuts factory, ramkrishna math , lord of drinks and many more places where students love to go . The locality is also safe at day and even at night also. The main event of my college is the aura and Christmas, the vibes of the college is so soothing at the time of fests and events . Many concerts are been organised and many events like dandiya night, Holi fest , etc .these also events do occur occassionally. I am part of every event and fest that held in the college . foreign universities students mostly prefer lucknow university over the IT college so there's no such importance of international student to be a part of my college , but many famous stars of India like the sound blaze , is studying in my college and her mother is also pursuing pg from my college .

Hostel Facilities

2

No one is allowed to enter the girls hostel except the hosteller. The hostel in my college lasts at the end of the campus. The hostel fees per year is 75,000 per year including food in it. And the two hosteller have to share the room there's no private room facility. The food quality is average that is offered in a mess. There is a seperate mess and a huge cafeteria and chunchun roll me cafeteria is famous all over Lucknow. The hostel has one guard and 2 guard stood at the main gate of the campus so that no hosteller can go outside without permission . The rules are so strict in the hostel no hosteller is allowed to go outside except Saturday and Sunday and on these two days also the hostellers have to came back to the hostel before 5 pm . They have to submit a written approval to the guard then only the hosteller are allowed to go outside the campus area. I do not live in hostel ,I live in pg because if affordable to me . Hostel provides laundry, wifi , ac , bed , mattress, a table and a chair in a room . The washrooms are attached with each room and their is one public washroom is also there. Mostly only 2 students share a single washroom.

Exam Structure

The admission process starts with the registration process . The eligible candidates means the student who had more than 60% in their 12 can apply from registration and after that they had to appear in the entrance test . The results are decided on the basis of the 10 and 12 percentage and on the entrance exam marks . If the student cleared both they she got admission and she can lock her seat . There's no other way to get admission in my college but the Christian student can easily get admission in my college no matter how much percentage pr marks she had got . If the student she will definitely get the admission no entrance exam or percentage matters to her. There's no such exam that the student can give to get Bcom degree , main exam is the college's internal entrance exam that the student has to pass.

Faculty

2.5

For Physics department, the Btech course is quite challenging. And students do fail in exams. Good aspects- Engineering Physics is purely research based branch so if you are interested in research this branch is heaven for you. Bad Aspects- There are very less jobs in core. For good opportunities you need to have masters or PHD. If you want good job after bachelor's then you have to learn other skills like coding, ML, analytics etc. In majority of the courses for a particular semester, there are 2 quizzes, 1 mid sem, 1 endsem exam, 1-2 assignment or term paper depending on the prof. Usually there are 3-4 classes of 1 hr each and if there is a lab then add 3 hrs more for that. 3rd year classes are mostly in afternoon session from 2-5 or 2-6 PM. 4th year classes are in morning session form 9-12 or 8-12 PM in my department. Other department schedule classes according to them. Most professors follow Teacher Centred Methodology with Inquiry based learning. Discussion are highly encouraged. Some profs give group projects and assignments for collaborative learning. I don't want to name the faculties without their permission but I would definitely tell you about their qualities which I admire the most. One of my profs who thought us Quantum Mechanics is one of the best professor of our department. He didn't bothers students at all with unnecessary assignments. At the start of semester he even asked us" How you would like to be evaluated?" Means we were given the chane to choose the no of exam or quizzes we want to take. He also has no attendance policy and encourages learning irrespective of where you learn from. Another one is my Thesis Supervisor who is one of the most chill and coolest profs I have ever met in my college. I wanted to work on his research and explore the field. When I approached him regarding the same he happily accepted my request. A really great guy, he not only made me understand his work but also helped me whenever I faced problems. Some not so admired faculties just don't give a damn about the students. They just teach what they are supposed to teach, clear doubts and leave doesn't matter whether the students are learning or not. Some even hold personal grudges against students for not attending their classes. Attendance depends on prof to prof. Some take it seriously some don't. Those who take it seriously 75% attendance is mandatory. If you don't fulfil it you could be debarred from taking end semester exams. Yes one of my friends got debarred from registering in endsems and eventually had to drop 1 year because he didn't attended one of profs classes and he took it personally.

Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith - [MGKVP], Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Education)
Reviewed on Feb 17, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA curriculum in my college at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) for the 2025–2026 academic year is structured under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, making it academically comprehensive but traditionally theoretical. It follows a six-semester system that offers a wide range of subjects, from core Humanities (History, Political Science, Hindi) to modern electives and Vocational courses (e.g., Nutrition, Yoga, or Digital Literacy), providing students with a multidisciplinary framework. In terms of relevance, the syllabus is exceptionally well-suited for students aiming for government services and competitive exams (UPSC/UPPSC), as the depth of social science subjects mirrors the state and national civil service patterns. However, its professional comprehensiveness is lower; while the curriculum includes internal assessments, presentations, and project work to build soft skills, the actual delivery remains focused on rote learning and theory rather than industry-ready practical training. Consequently, the course is highly relevant for an academic or administrative career path but requires significant self-supplementation (internships or external skill-building) for those seeking immediate roles in the private sector.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly speaking I don't like the curriculum of my college. Everything is same which people studied 20 years ago . Only few things has been changed and I don't understand why we need to study about things which don't have any existence in reality. They should focus on current tech and provide more learning opportunities in AI.
