Course Curriculum Overview

3

I would rate the course curriculum 10/10. I choose this course because a bsc degree gives you too many opportunities to do specialization in any field like zoology botany chemistry. Many BSc students choose to pursue further study, which can lead to a more specialized job with better salary, success. Bsc biology prepares you for Research and development: You can work in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, education. You might work as a research assistant, research technician, or clinical researcher. Education: You can teach biology at a university or work in postsecondary education. The improvements required in the course curriculum and teachings methods are : To focus more on helping the student understand the theory well rather than giving them a big practical file to make . The frequency and timings of exams are perfect. Odd sem are held in November, they are theory papers and are of 3 hours .The even semester exams are held in May and are MCQ based questions and are of 1.5 hours.

Internships Opportunities

0.5

I have no idea as I have never applied in any . The chemistry department teachers run a placement cell to prepare student for interviews and jobs . They make you understand now how to make your resume like a pro. They focus on building your communication skills and other things . It is known as IT CAREER COUNSELLING AND PLACEMENT CELL. Iam willing to join it soon .

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The year wise fees that I paid for bsc first year self finance seat was 23,500. It was divided like this Tuition fees : 17000 Annual fee: 3500 Security money : 2000 SGA: 1000 The regular seat of the same course ( bsc biology) is cheaper than the self finance seat. The second year fees that I paid was 22,500 for bsc biology . It was divided like this ( Tuition, annual and security fees)= 21,500 ( that was submitted in the form of a demand draft . SGA fees = 1000 The second year fees for regular student is 12,590. It is divided like this Tuition fees : 4590 Annual fee : 5000 Vocational fees :3000 The scholarship available to us was the one provided by the up government. It was available for every student . The UP government gave 5-10k to the selected or needy ones.

Campus Life

3.5

There are many programs in the college that are celebrated like the Arbour Day, Christmas and many more. The library contains a variety of books of every department. The facilities within the classrooms are just okayish. They offer a wide range of sports and extra curricular activities, you can participate in the dancing, singing , acting , skit competitions and even in the cricket competition and tug of war etc . There is a group and insta handle named it college run by a student . She post her journey through college life.

Admission

I was thinking to apply in the Lucknow university. But after seeing the competition there I thought I wouldn't give it a chance. So I only applied to this college because Isabella Thoburn College is one of the best known and popular colleges of Lucknow. I choose this college in the first go as I had complete trust on the education and facilities. The admission process is simple , you can apply online or take the offline admission form from the college after checking the eligibility for taking addmission in bsc biology you must have scored 55% above ,after filling the form you can submit it and then you will be asked to keep on checking the college website for the entrance exam date . Now you have to download your admit card if you applied online, or if you applied offline you were given the admit card with the form .Once you gave the exam , wait for a week or longer until your result. Log in and see your result. You will be given a regular seat or self finance one.

Faculty

3

The faculty of science include the zoology, botany and chemistry departments. All the faculty members are available anytime you need them, they are always there to help you out with anything . The faculty I like is the chemistry one.The teachers are super good. There way of teaching and explaining things is too good .I like them because they focus on building and shaping the students future. The faculty of chemistry also inform about so many useful things like this relaince scholarship and other job and internship opportunities. They are total 6 exams, 4 of which are theory papers and 2 are practical exams .The college is basically affiliated with Lucknow university, so the question paper comes from there, that is neither too hard nor too easy. Many students pass the exams but there are some who find chemistry a bit difficult and thus ended up failing in them. The course curriculum is as it should be . It is upto the mark .

College management is good they are some merits and demerits of everything so this college also have some demerits also like some teachers and proctors are rude and not helpful but mostly people around there are helpful so overall this college is really good if you want teaching and discipline because they are strict in maintaining disciplines.

My college was good and I had a great experience there but still it lacks some facilities. If it starts placements or internship it will be one of the best colleges in Agra. Also it should not give more preference to Christians as merit is what matters the most.
