Course Curriculum Overview

I got information about scope in horticulture in 3rd year onwards. Teachers are giving us that information and telling about the scopes and opportunities in this field. Visiting such institutions fir future works are also done.

Class Size: 32Course Fees: INR 17000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Sem registration fees about 6 to 8 thousand. Gym fees 1000 per semester. 3000 electricity charges per semester. Library fees 500. Scholarship like mahadbt are available . Various types of scholarship is available according to merit, caste etc

Campus Life

There are many curriculum activities like organising guest lecturers, webinars, seminars. Various functions are also celebrated here by students arrangements for the function and events. Teachers help for tge events held at college

Hostel Facilities

I live in hostel given by college. Rooms are beautiful accomodabele. Meal for 3times, breakfast lunch dinner. The food can be plenty having 2000 mess bill per month. Hostel registration done at the time of semester registration with 3000 electricity charges .

Admission

I applied only for this college. It is the best agriculture college in Maharashtra. The teachers , staff, equipment, practical knowledge and work are so helpful for future. I choosed this coarse by my self

Faculty

The girls are more in number compared to boys in the college. In studying and scoring good marks ,girls are on the top. Teachers are have helping nature for students. The restrictions and rules are not liking. They are so boring.

Night Life

Our main building is the centre of attraction having historical value. The nature and atmosphere around college is peaceful and elegant. It has garden like atmosphere. The structure of college is the great construction. The hostel closing time is 7:40 so can't enjoy more views of campus

Placement Experience:

From semester 7 students become eligible for campus placements. The highest package offered by the companies is around 15 LPA and the average offered is 5-6 LPA The percentage of students getting placements is 40% My plans after getting a degree is to establish a buisness or if got a placement in an company would continue further with it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture course curriculum is semester based course in which equal emphasis is given on both pratical and theory part. Curriculum is developed by ICAR committee based on modern innovations and research done by scientists at IARI, New Delhi and is updated with time. One needs to pass seperately in practical as well as theory exam as per the credit or marks the subject holds. In 7th semester you are exposed to practical experience by means of RAWE- which is a kind of rural internship which gives you chance to apply all learnings of subjects that studied from 1st to 6th semester and then in 8th semester you are exposed to business modules that prepares you to commercially test your skills in real day world. Overall the whole curriculum is easy to moderate and one tends to enjoy the practical part more .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I wanted to pursue studies in Agriculture as it's a somewhat non-conventional but very important subject for the country. Faculty: student is I must say very good. You'll easily find at least 4-5 professors in each department so there's no dearth of Faculty. You can approach them any time easily. Each faculty is highly qualified and commands great knowledge of the subject matter. Almost every faculty have been associated with most eminent institutions and even international institutes as well and has contributed to several research work. The teaching method is good but they prefer to teach in the local language (Marathi) which can be a hindrance for other states' students. However, they shift to English if raised concerned. Exams are conducted in a very disciplined manner and very timely whether midterms or semester-end exams. In this regard, the college is very punctual. The difficulty level to pass the exams is moderate. However, very little leniency is given while evaluating the answer

COAA review in a deep way

Admission:

Admission to the UG program is on the basis of a common entrance test conducted by ICAR. Students clearing the entrance exam are invited for further process. The entire selection process is pretty tedious and lengthy.

My first choice was College of Agriculture Pune but it missed by me only 0.8% percentage from final list. Then next preference is College of Agriculture businesses management Baramati I got confirmed addmission through Merit list. Addmission process is simple as from Merit list we have to select college preferences and according to listing callege call to us for addmission if, we get our preferred college then visit there and complete all documentation process along with college fees and here addmission is done. The students need to have 50% in class 12th with science stream. Other than that you also need to have English as a compulsory subject. Those students who do not have biology in class 12th need to complete the deficiency course in order to seek admission. Admission is done on the basis of JEE/NEET/MHT-CET or AIEEE.
