Course Curriculum Overview

3

The courss curriculum for the bachelor's are more theory oriented than practical oriented It is understandable but not much of practical side to it Every other month there is an exam since there are 3 exam in a sem and a sem is for around 4-5 months

Fees and Financial Aid

Firstly I paid 25,000 as advance on entering Then I paid the rest of the sem amount that is 25000. Tjis was only for the first sem From the second sem onwards it was between 30,000 to 40,000 per sem So less than 80,000 per year including the language fee For NRI it is much higher

Campus Life

4

There is an event ARTBEAT for BA Each subject dept also had their own annual event For journalism dept it was SHOOTING STARS Aside from this there are other arts, music and dance league which is open to all Tedx also takes place The clubs are there for first 2 years which takes place weekly

Admission

I only applied to this college due to the course Also due the easiness of transportation It is just 4hours from my home town so visiting home during weekends were easy The admission was done online due the covid and on selection in the first round there was an online interview with the principal After getting selected in that I was given 3days to pay the first installment fee Whole process was done in around 10days

Faculty

3

The faculty are friendly but not much experienced enough in the teaching profession They seem to teach for sake of completing the syllabus There are 3 exams in total per sem 2internals of 50marks and a sem exam of 60 marks The easiness of exams depends on the subject

Night Life

4

The night life is good if you stay in a flat not in hostel The canteen in college usually go on till 5 or so in normal days There are also a lot of cafe and juice place just around the college where we usually spend time

Course Curriculum Overview:

Performing Arts have more of practical things as from acting to direction we are taught everything. History and Theory as some theory part and the kind of career path that our course provides, I think for students interested in this, should join our course at Christ University.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
