My perspective

The first CA 1 starts after 45 of onset of semester and we would have 2.5 units for the exam. After one month we would have CA2 or model sem where we have 5 units . And after the study holidays we have semester at the end. The course could be more practical by engaging us and taking us to special schools or clinics and making us encounter and learn. The course gives us story theoretical foundations and understanding and application of theories. The factors that influenced me to take the course is that they have young staffs that are approachable and understanding students perspective rather than being stereotypical and rigid. The department is fun, and friendly

Students engage in conducting research and have to complete mini project and thesis to obtain their degree and must also complete their presentation with viva in final year. College also offers various interships for various courses.

Generally for psychology degree, there are very few placements after the bachelor degree were that are also deviated from the core objective. My college offers no core placement for psychology only 1% ppt placements whereas majority of the students opt higher studies in abroad since the salary and scope for our degrees is high in foreign countries than here. Iam planning to take part in CUET (Psychology PG) or planning to do my masters in Ireland with my brother who is currently there

There are two categories: Self- finance and Aided and students get selected according to their boards of schooling,caste category, and time of application and cutoff percentage Were the aided students would be charged 7000 each semester There is two more categories in self finance which are merit and management. The merit students would be charged 46000 for first semester and 40000 for other semesters till end. The management students would be charged 63000 for first semester and 57000 for other semesters

There are various clubs and forums in our college that are so interactive and organises events frequently for our and other college students too. We have 3 grand culturals per year : Manvar mandram inauguration, Heartbeat, Euphoria and we also celebrate Pongal, diwali, onam which varies with departments. The Library is huge and contains so many books to refer. The facilities and provisions are good. The sports department is also engaging, participating in every potential opportunity seen. I am currently the Secretary of Aram forum club and member of Anti-drug club , I am given opportunities to showcase my innovation and ideas with equal respect and recognition. I am able to interact with new people everyday from other departments too.

I applied for Krishnamal, Kumaraguru and PSG for the same course. I attended the interview and entrance exams of kumaraguru because it was the most appealing in providing pratical and theoretical foundations . I was also selected but the prescribed amount was not affordable for me so I rejected the offer but it is still a good course in my opinion. Later I was admitted in Krishnamal and paind the initial payment but it wasn't that satisfactory because the staffs and students were judgemental since it was a girls college it resembled my school, it was not welcoming for me. Then I went to counseling to PSG and got selected and paind amount there and refunded from Krishnamal. The eligibalility to select in PSG is that u must score a good percentage (preferably above 90%). To get selected in kumaraguru u must be prepared for interview and entrance exams that are general. The overall admission process was hectic but atleast I was happy with my decision and I am not regretting

We have 15 faculties in our self finance department to 65 students in each year . The are very approachable and guide us through our difficulties through their insights. Varun sir (HOD) was very casual and friendly, and had boundaries of staff at the same time. He was approachable and we could tell him anything that causes us trouble in or out of the college. At the same time he focuses on pratical learning and understanding new concept apart from academic portions. Ram sir who handled French for us (secondary language) he doesn't seem to take the constructive criticism we gave him and work on it and rather continued blaming on us on academic performance and behaviour. The learning must be two way directional is what I believe. There are 3 exam per semester. The first internal ( CA1) comes around 45 days of onset of semester , we would have the first 2.5 units for each subjects. The second internal (CA2) or model sem we would have all 5 units for the exam which comes one month after the end of first exam. We would have study holidays and have semester at end. 98% of students have cleared their exams . The relevancy of course curriculum is good

The night life around my college is happening because there are lot of resturants and a midnight cafe (Shreebrews)The are 3-4 gyms outside the college and one gym inside the college which can be also accessed by other students too. The usual hangout place are bakeries and airport road and church seek silence and enjoy ambience
