Infrastructure, classroom facilities were all at its best

Course Curriculum Overview

Exams were conducted every month and the final exams were conducted at the end of the semester. The curriculum taught us more than what we were expecting. We were educated about AI and some other computer languages and how they are used in the field of biotechnology.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 89250 per year

Placement Experience

Good number of companies come for hiring the graduates. The students are given placement training in the odd sem of the final year. It indeed is very helpful for both placement interviews and for appearing in any competitive exams in terms of preparing us to be better in aptitude.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees was 89250 per semester for all the students. Scholarships were provided to students who met the eligibility criteria. I was mostly based on the percentage scored in 12th grade. Students were all charged the same irrespective of their category. Semester fees included almost all the charges.

Campus Life

Students were all needed to be a part of any college club and attendance were made mandatory for the same to encourage students to participate in extra curriculars. Students were also rewarded with credits for participating in the club activities and we called the day as Non academic working day.

Hostel Facilities

We were all in safe hands in the hostel. We were provided with all the necessities in the hostel premises. We were never let out of the hostel gate without our parents permission. Verification is either done over call or mail.

Hostel Fee: INR 14000 per year

Admission

Karunya is well known for its inrastucture and laboratory facilties. The college also has a good number of foreign tie ups and encourage students into various participations. It gives a safe and secured ambiance for all students.

Faculty

Prfessors were all very friendly and supportive. They were all skilled in their own stream of study and were so fluent in teaching the subjects. We were allowed to choose electives subjects, which encouraged us to choose subjects from a different department. Our course structure did not only expose us into biotechnoly but also other streams like AI, IoT etc. The insights of all the staff are very strong and it did help us a lot to learn about the subjects as well as from all their experiences.

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year,they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course.The placement is around 95 percent.My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus.There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

A review about KARE

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.
