- Problem of consistent electricity as sometimes there are powercuts. However, the issues are resolved at the earliest by the SEG team.
Course Curriculum Overview
Very detail-oriented course curriculum. The inclusion of Beyond Education activities allows the students to get a touch of society and do better for the society as a part of the community. The culture allows the students to learn beyond the four walls of the classroom not just within the pages of the academic books and the walls of a classroom.
Internships Opportunities
The CRP team or the placement team provides extremely delectable Summer Internship Program opportunities to all students as it is a course requirement after semester 2 or year 1 end. Students are given 3 months of internship experience at reputed companies like Axis Bank, MOL IT, Adani Wilmar, CA firms, ITC Limited, HDFC Bank, Kantar IMRB etc.
Placement Experience
The college placement cell is termed as the "Corporate Relationship Program" or CRP. Extremely cooperative placement department offering the best of placement services as compared to all other business colleges in the city. Very big brands come to the college during the placement season which kicks off during the month of September. This year it happened early as E&Y GDS LLP a Big 4 company came for college placements during the month of August. Notably, all the Big 4 companies, i.e, Deloitte, PwC, E&Y and KPMG have come for placements at GBS this year. This hasn't happened in any other business school all over the state of West Bengal this year or over the last 4-5 years.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees for a two-year PGDM program at Globsyn Business School during the 2023-25 session was ?835000. The registration fees was ?1000. All other charges were included in the course fee itself. Several government aids like the Student Credit Card Scheme from the West Bengal Government and education loans at affordable rates from HDFC Bank were available to students during admission.
Campus Life
The Beyond Education activities are a huge part of the Globsyn culture. The annual fest named Serendipity happens in February every year, as organised by the Students Council Board. Over the year other social activities like Umeed, Blood Donation Campaign, Aalap, Mango Magic, Winter Magic etc are taken by the Kalyani Youth Leadership Forum or KYLF Board to make the students familiar with communal guidelines and events.
Admission
Globsyn Business School is by far the best B-school in Eastern India. The onboarding process as a student is as smooth as it gets. While other colleges make the process very hectic for students and guardians, GBS makes it a single to maximum two-day process to complete all admission related procedures. The cut off is kept substantial so all students stand a fair chance to break into the Globsyn family during the entrance exams.
Faculty
Firstly, it's important to note that no students fail exams at Globsyn Business School. Very helpful faculty members and they provide all possible guidance to the students to pass in exams. Level of difficulty of all exams are easy to moderate if classes are followed and notes are studied properly during the season. Semester exams are divided into 4 sems divided equally over the course of 2 years.
Interview Experience
Yes. Three rounds of selection process screening are undertaken by the college during the admission time. Firstly, a written online exam is conducted for each student from a location of the student's choice. The camera and microphone of the laptop/desktop being used by the student are required to be turned on during the exam process. Next, a GD round is conducted at the Globsyn Crystals Office of the college in Salt Lake where candidates clearing the online exam are taken into consideration. Finally, on the same day, students clearing the GD round are notified and made to appear for the in-person interview with senior faculty members of the college.
