Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum of course is of 5.5 years in which 4.5 years of academics and 1 year of internship for which you will get paid... And you have to face internal exams regularly during academics with gap of 3 months after which one prelium exam and after 2 months of prelium you have to write university exam which you have to pass for entering into next year.... Difficulty level is moderate for university exam you can clear it by studying 2 months only

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure varies for different catagories for General it is around 140000 for obc it is 10k and for Ews it is around 73k ... Year wise fee almost remains the same or varies with 5k plus minus.... Development fee is 5k, library is 2k and other stuff including gymkhana and form fees is around 3k ... So total around 10k you have to pay more than tuition fees... As i have mentioned earlier fees that are including that 10k ... Schorships for hostel is available which is panjabrao deshmukh scholarship for which you have to apply on MAHAdbt website... No other scholarships available

Campus Life

4

All the practical accessories are available in college. Yeah there is shortage of space to conduct it but it is manageable not like that it is impossible to conduct them .. In total one year student councelling conduct 5 major events which includes freshers party for new batch, Shivjayanti event which is most exciting and lasts for 3-4 days, GFC event which is ganapati festival event which lasts for 5-7 days and Abhudaya which is sports event for around 1 week which includes indoor and outdoor games. And Inceptra which is most awaited event of college.

Admission

The first reason to join this college is it is government medical college and fee are less as compared to private colleges.. . And second reason is distance from my home... Other colleges which get alloted to me were far from my home.. You have to clear NEET exam for entering into this course and have to prepare very hard to get selected in merit list

Faculty

3

Number of faulties varies from department to department .for fy and specially for anatomy we get total 6 faculties which is sufficient for 100 students in which 3 are JR, 1 assistant proff, 1associative proff, and 1HOD...and all are more friendly.... Passing ratio is also good for university exams .. Hardly 5 students failed out of 100...so it can be considered good enough

The course is standard for all MBBS courses. There are theory lectures and practical classes. Hospital exposure begins in the second year onwards. Current revisions in the course like introduction of logbook etc are unnecessary and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is definately a tough course. along with being tough, it also puts some responsibilities on your shoulders as you will be treating real people with real problems in the real world as you complete this course. while studying, students should focus more on 'why' and 'how' type questions than 'what' type of questions. the major exams are conducted in 9 semesters . each semester is of 6 months + 1 year of compulsary internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The current curriculum is comprehensive based curriculum. Here practical knowledge is more important than bookish knowledge. So now spending more time in wards is of greater importance. Exams are held accordingly - 2 internals, 1 prilims and 1 University held by MUHS. Each exam is followed by practical examination. This curriculum will help to build good doctors rather than bookish doctors.
