What Students Say
Likes
- Instrument handling by students is something required in every campus
- The nature surrounding campus is way too much fun living in
- Canteen facility was good along with quality of food
Dislikes
- Head of Department of QA and IP department is very aggressive and self obsessed person.
- Money is everything for the institute... They do not allow students for exam if even only 1rs is remaining in the fees
- Everyone thinks for their benefits only specially the faculties and HODs
Course Curriculum Overview
Teaching methods should be improved by the quality as the quality of teaching of some faculties is very low. The curriculum includes both indoor and outdoor activities and is good for overall development. I chose QA department as I was interested more in placement and desk job work. Exams held every 1.5 months and are of very good quality with best level of maintaining hard and easy questions
Internships Opportunities
Internship in various departments like QA, VALIDATION, FORMULATION, etc is provided to students. Stipend ranges from 10-15k per month and duration of the internship is 6 months. For the students who Opt QA internship they learn the major role of documents and responsibilities of QA personnel in maintaining the quality in pharmaceutical industry. For validation intern role differs to validating the system configuration and troubleshooting. Formulation intern learns about the formulating drugs in the pharmaceutical industry.
Placement Experience
Students from 3rd semester are eligible for placement rounds. Companies like ENDO PAR FORMULATION, TORRENT PHARMACEUTICAL, ALEMBIC PHARMA, JB CHEMICALS, SARLA ADVANTECH, LUPIN, etc come for campus placements Highest package was 4.2 LPA by LUPIN and avg package is 3LPA. 60% STUDENTS gets placements and 30% goes for higher studies like PhD
Fees and Financial Aid
-The year wise fees I paid as an unreserved Student was 91900/- after the EBC scholarship by the government. -The tution fees is 165000/-, admission fees is 1000/-, we have to pay 2000/- for thesis submission and even 1000/- for degree and 1000/- for the T.C. -The management fees differs from course to course and it's demand in the current year... For MPharm in Quality Assurance the Management fees was 400000/- rs. And then 165000 for next year. -Maharashtra govt provides scholarship to students with merit list and Cap round seats For unreserved category with Family income less than 8 lac rupees the scholarship is 50% For SC/ST the scholarship is 100% with family income less than 1 lac rupees.
Campus Life
Annual gathering like AAVISHKAR and other science festivals occur by feb-march of every year. Almost all the books for Pharmacy students from D.Pharm to PhD level. Smart boards are available in all the classrooms Regular sports at district level occurs and students participate actively in that.
Admission
I had chosen only few clg to take admission like: RTMNU, DY PATIL COLLEGE OF PHARMACEUTICAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH, RC PATEL INSTITUTE OF PHARMACEUTICAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH and BOMBAY COLLEGE OF PHARMACY for my M.Pharm education. The cutoff marks of GPAT for RTMNU was bit high but I was able to get seats other 3 colleges easily. I chose RC for the better placement records. For eligibility you should have non zero score in GPAT and you have to participate in MAHARASHTRA CAP ROUNDS
Faculty
-Faculties are of both type... Some are very friendly and co-operative whereas some are very rude and misbehave with students. -Principal of RCPIPER is very rude and non-supportive. -HOD of IP&QA is the person who thinks about his reputation and his connections whether it affects the mental peace of student. -Dr. Saurabh Ganorkar sir from Analysis department and Mr. Shete sir are very good in nature and helpful for the students. They take care of Student like their own family members. - Exams are of tougher level as it's an autonomous institute now and they want increase the level of students. So exam aur tougher but if the concepts are clear you can easily crack them.
