Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum provides me specific courses for what I need to pursue and what will help me with my future job applications. We're given practical knowledge through regular lab sessions, and regular evaluation. I think that they need to remove the element of rote learning. The exams are very frequent, as we get done with midsems, we have lab midsems, and the lab endsems and then endsem exams, which are one after the another.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee i paid for first year was Rs.325000 And for second year it was Rs.509000 Now for first year it has increased to 4.8L And remains same for the others And every course has the same fee structure. Scholarships like AICTE fee waiver are available for students
Campus Life
We have an annual festival falak which is held in october usually. And there's a tech fest solstice which is held in march. So like one fest in odd semester and one in even semester We have mostly all kinds of relevant books for our courses available in library And the technology we get is also pretty good as compared to other colleges The extracurricular activities are held along with the annual fest The club culture is also pretty good as we have the independence of building the clubs on our own
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are pretty good. We are provided rooms which are not much spacious but in a great condition with regular cleaning and we can raise any issues to the warden which are resolved in a short time. The meals are also good as we have an option to choose among two mess vendors so that's also a plus point. The registration is done through the hostel portal for the college and it is quite expensive as compared to other hostels, but the facilities justify the prices.
Admission
I chose this college above others for the reputation of manipal and how well the students have been doing here ober the years, and also the courses they provide as compared to other colleges which just focus on more and more admissions rather than the learning part.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is like 50:1 as I have noticed. All the faculties are good as they are highly qualified and professional. There are 3 exams over the semester 1 quiz, 1 midsem and 1 endsem for each semester Many students fail to clear the exams not due to the difficulty level but mainly because of the strict marking schemes. And the course curriculum has been made relevant with time as the branch is developing.
