What Students Say
Likes
- The first thing I like about the college is its rich infrastructure and dignified culture.
- The other thing is there is a big building for library consisting of 3 floors and essential books regarding the courses the college provides.
- The computer labs, classroms and auditorium is very impressive and up to date along with cleanliness.
Dislikes
- The first thing i disliked is that at my 3rd and 4th year there were very less placement opportunities and most of the companies used to provide non-IT jobs.
- Other thing I dislike is the professor not teaching all the syllabus and leaving it on students
- The girls to boys ratio in our class what 55:45 girls were approximately 55 percent of total strength and remaining were boys.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well when was in school I thinking of becoming software engineer in future,So in order to become software engineer I took relevant course of computer science in Sri Indu institute of engineering and technology.I think the curriculum is good and no changes are needed in it and mainly I was in jntu affliated college so the course structure was well defined. In first year all departments uesd to have same subjects almost in 2 semesters of 1st year, but from 2nd year the core subjects will be included in the course like C,C++,python, java etc.
Internships Opportunities
The companies providing internship opportunities to the students in our college were mostly start-up companies and in which the name I remember was "24/7AI" it use to select students for internship to web development role and was ensuring to provide 8,000 stipend per month for selected students and completing the work.It was work from office type company.
Placement Experience
Well my first and second year of engineering was during covid so i came to know about recession period and my seniors of 4th year st that time were struggling with lack of on-campus placements but our profressors used to confront us that at the time of our 4th year there would be the end of recession period and good and plently of on-campus placements drive. But in reality when I was in 4th year my college used to provide were less on-campus placements drives and was majorly from start-up companies and almost were not non-It job roles. It was worst experience at the cruical time of starting career in tech.
Fees and Financial Aid
I took admission into Sri indu institute of engineering and technology in computer science department at the year 2020 after succeding 40,000 rank in TS eamcet examination after my Inter 2nd year.As I ranked 40,000 and come from OBC background so government provided with 35,000 yearly scholarship which will be be directly sent to my college and I should have to pay 40,000 tuition fees and 10,000 jntu affliated fees yearly to my college. So total amount yearly mixing governments and my pay to college is 85,000 yearly. My batchmates who came from management pays whole 90,000 to college without any governments interference.
Campus Life
At this point I want to say that my college used to organise a huge amount of technical fest, cultural programs, and many other events which were entertaining and at the same time useful.I was to participate more in such events that was the best part of my college life were i feel satisfied with the college.
Admission
I acquired 40000 rank in TS EAMCET examination so suitable to that rank this college(Sri indu institute of engineering and technology) was best when compared to other colleges which accept the students of my rank. This college have a fame among other colleges located near it.
Faculty
Faculty to atudent ratio was pretty good at my 1st and 2nd year of engineering but at 3rd and 4rd year we suffered in some subjects due to lack of faculties and other subjects faculties used to the subjects which they were not much aware of.Shilpa madam and Akhila madam are my favourite faculty member in my whole 4 years of engineering.
