NIU: Overall information and review from students pov

The course I am doing is not quite popular in India currently but has a great scope in abroad and the best thing about this college is that it has international tie-up as well. Bsc biotechnology is all about research but choose this course only if u are keeping this as a priority and not option. I always fantasised about doing research and changing world for a better purpose so I choose this course.

They provide placements opportunities. Specifically talking about my course they provide placements in R&D department of different food and pharma industries. Although u can opt to go for higher studies as well or plan to pursue masters from abroad.

Yearly fees for my particular course of Bsc biotech is 70k. You have to submit 45k at the time of admission online/offline. Out of which 35k would be the fees of the course and 10k would be security deposit. It is a 4 years honours courses with 8 semesters. Fees are paid semester wise. The total cost of the course would be roughly around 3 lakhs which is good for a private university. And with the structure and facilities of the university it is worth it.

They have different clubs like acting, singing, dancing, NCC etc. They also have sports club for wide variety of sports ranging from volleyball, basketball to cricket and kabbadi as well. Quite good college if u have played sports at school level to enhance ur abilities and overall skills.

College has a tie up with annapurna hostels which is just great from food to rooms. U can opt for 2 seater( ac) 3 seater (ac/non ac). Prices are not high and can be paid before the end of semester so u can pay the fees like on monthly basis as well. Mine is 1.40 for 3 seater ac.

I came to know about this college from Google no one suggested me this but as soon as I saw the structure of the college I decided to take admission here. When in college u feel like u are studying in abroad. I didn't applied for any other college cause I liked this college only. The admission process is quite simple not a lot to worry just book ur seat fill some information, pay the first semester fees and u are good to go.

Faculties are quite good. Many of them are phd holder and have a good knowledge of their subject. Talking about the course structure it is a 4 year course divided into 8 semesters. There is no half yearly exams instead they have different types of assesment like practicals, assignment, otba, quiz and the we have final exams. The marking scheme is cgpa.
