The teachers. They teach really well in a way the students can understand
The opportunities. They took us to so mant different reputed places
I'm learning a lot from this college. The education is good.

Dislikes

Some teachers are very partial and degrading
The students are such liars and jealous and toxic
The college is pretty small. No events or place to play sports in college

Course Curriculum Overview

Nutrition and Dietetics is more about personal well-being and health. I choose this improve myself but fell in love with this course and the opportunities amd seminars this college gave us really made me love this course more

Class Size: 28Course Fees: INR 102000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 102000 without any scholarship per year which is first and second semesters. But it can increase or decrease next year, which is third and fourth semesters. We've only paid first and second semester's fee now.

Campus Life

Campus is really small to do anything, no big programs or fests in the college. Even if there is, the involvement of masters student is very less. The infrastructure is cute even though it is a very small amd compact college

Admission

I wanted to stay in the same city and i applied a little late for other colleges so when i applied to this college as an last option, i easily got admitted even though i would've prefered other colleges.

Faculty

Some teachers are very encouraging, the teaching is good and some are very partial to certain people. We have 3 exams each semester. 1 internals 2 models and 3 is the main semester exam. Model and semester paper are full portion papers.

excellent in acedimics

Course Curriculum Overview:

1.I was very much intrested to be a scientist when i choose biochemistry because its one of excellent bioscience subject to pursue the carrier as good scientist and complete the phd in bio science field 2.I would say for further acedmic carriculum like to pursue phd and to complete bioscience related competative examination will be clear by just following acedimics but am not saying it will prepare for you to a real world . 3.teaching methods is excellent as i mentioned earlier but problem is they only stick to acedmics apart from that they didnt prepare for real world problem job getting moto that is problem 4.exams level of difficulty is mediatory not high or not low as of my knowledge but other say it very difficult exams nobody able to score more than 70%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

My Experience: The good and the Bad

Course Curriculum Overview:

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Our college provide very fantastic placements , in every year they invited two or three companies in our college to get placements us.In last semester the students are eligible for for campus placements.Shilpa biological industry, biocon industry both company are offered the placement in last year. they told they provide highest packages 800000 rupees per year and averages 400000 per year . In our department , 2 to 3 students are getting palcements. after i completed my degree , i want to research so i admitted in phd programmes.

The campus placements is given in the basis of marks. Different schools from South India come to college and takes interviews and other selection methods to give placement to students on the basis of marks and their performance in different selection tasks. BU needs more Improvement

Placement Experience:

After 3rd sem, we are eligible for campus placements. There'll be job drive for around 1 week where we get to attend. Commerce students get more opportunities rather than Botany students but nevertheless we get to work in medical feilds depending on interviews

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.

I did not apply in any college but I had a thought to apply in Goodwill Girls college since it is nearer to my home . But my PU computer teacher suggested me to join Bishop Cotton women's Christian college because she was an alumini of the college and she loved the computer faculties over there and she was soo right on it . Also my elder sister had done her PU there so i opted for this college . The admission process was easy i went and visited the college they asked for my pu documents and 10th documents and asked my marks in computers and maths . Honest review

I also applied and joined in Jyoti nivas (JNC) thier timings was not good , yess the classes starts at 8:30 and ends at 3:30 and there is no free period in between, felt like school and many students hav not yet completed their graduation yet .....I think since they hav authority they fair the students for granted. But in Bishop cottons v do hav free period and it is half day for almost 5 days on a week....Read More
