An overview and review of my college - Vignan

I chose Electronics department because it has vast range of applications in daily life and gas better scope in future. Curriculum gave me an idea of real world applications but failed to prepare me for those applications.More practical knowledge should be delivered to the students and exam difficulty is good.

Most of us did internal internship within the college without stipend. The remaining did external internships without stipend.But we did final year project in which we designed a patient monitoring system using GSM and Buzzer to alert the family members or relatives

From 3-2 semester onwards students are eligible for placements. Many companies visited our campus some of them are Accenture and Amazon and TCS and remaining are mostly from business role placements. Highest package is given by Amazon (26Lakh per annum). Above 50% students are placed. My plan is to settle in a government sector job based on our branch.

I paid 52000 per year as fee for 4 years after getting admission through convenor quota (via eamcet exam). Other mandatory fees include library fee(2000 rupees),building fund and NBA(12000 rupees), fees for provisionals and TC(1000 rupees),each semester examination fee (1500 rupees), Bus fee(22500 rupees) Some of my friends joined via management quota and they paid admission fee from 1 lakh to 2 lakhs Ammavodi scheme is there as scholarship from government.

There is one main annual festival and it is Yuvtarang and some tech fests in the months of August and September The library is equipped with vast range of books according to the branch. The classrooms are equipped with a projector for better understanding and learning experience. There are sports rooms and spacious ground, but we are always engaged with the hectic schedule and didn't have the time to play. There are some clubs like English speaking club, Readers club but the implementation of them is poor.

I also applied to Andhra University and Jawaharlal Nehru University but I chose vignan as my college because it has excellent infrastructure and well trained faculty members and curriculum is also good. Admission can be done in 2 ways either through convenor quota (via eamcet exam) or the management quota by buying admission seat. Eligibility is intermediate. Admission process is simple.

The faculty members are friendly and Well versed in explanation and they are approachable to clarify all the doubts.I like all core subjects faculties and I didn't like some subject faculties due to poor explanation of lectures.There are 2 mid exams and one main semester examination at the end of every semester.
