Course Curriculum Overview
I am from an agricultural background which helps me to take this course. This course syllabus is outdated and lacks real-world problems but some sections like GIS and renewable technology have further scope. There is a strict need of the modernization of Sylabbus. There should be more practical based teaching methodology fro teaching.
Internships Opportunities
There are 2 training programmes you have to compulsorily take each for a month. There is compulsory 4 month internship program in you have to join 16 weeks to company or government agency like of Mahindra tractors, Netafirm , SPRERI and much more.
Placement Experience
Companies start to come after the 6th semester. There are 8-10 companies that visit every year like NetaFirm, Jain Irrigation, Agrovikas, Rivulis and much more. Almost 100% of students are placed every year but most placements come in sales and marketing profiles. My plans after getting degree is Masters
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee per year is approximately 16000 for boys and 6000 for girls. There are several scholarships like NTS in which 36000 per year is given and for Gujarati students, there are several scholarships like Merit cum means scholarship in which 25000-28000 scholarship is given per year. There are 3000 per month for a training period of net 6 months. So,There are lot of plans for financial assistance in this college.
Campus Life
There are a few functions that happen in a year like annual functions, Farewell, Freshers and Ganpati festivals. There is 1 library in college that has a vast book stock but there is a reading hall in which books are funded by alumni of college on your needs and demands. Classrooms are well equipped with smart class technology and well-furnished AC classrooms. There are several intercollege tournaments and there is an annual sports meet there. We have no clubs but students do social welfare through NSS and it's necessary to join NSS for the first 3 semesters..
Hostel Facilities
The rooms of the hostel are well equipped with fans, a study table and a locker for clothes. There are two types of hostel in 2 or 3 shared rooms. Mess is run by a student committee and meal quality is excellent. Registration process of hostel is too easy .
Admission
I applied for NDRI, JAU and UAS Banglore for btech agricultural engineering but could not get NDRI but rejected the other 2 to get admission in AAU. The admission process of this college is college is through ICAR entrance exam now CUET UG and for Gujarati student it is GUJCET
Faculty
Faculty are too friendly to students and can be approached anytime for any problems. The Faculty-to-student ratio is 1:10. Faculties like Kapil Mandaloi, and Jogunari Sravan Kumar are too approachable for any problem. they make comfortable students like a family. There are 2 semester each year and in each semester's exams are segregated to mid-term exam, Viva and end-term exams. Papers are moderate but 20-30% of students fail to clear exam .
