Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum gets updated every 3 years. But if you have started with a course code of a particular year then it doesn't get updated to new curriculum. Only the next batch gets new curriculum. Personally i feel the curriculum is not upto the mark and will not help us in our jobs. Preparation for real world is not satisfactory. The curriculum difficulty can be rated as moderate to hard.

Placement Experience

3

The placement is not the best. The students are not acknowledged about the placement reports. They only highlight 1 or 2 students who have got a high package. The campus placement has around 40 companies coming and the packages range from 2-12 LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

For Integrated MCA BCA course the fees fpr 2022 joined students is 89000 for UG and 116000 for PG. BCA Data Science fees is 87000 Regular BCA fees is 85000 This is the total fees that includes all the amount except the exam fee that is arond 1800 per semester. There is a merit Scolarship for students above 9 CGPA for 6% of students registered in the batch

Campus Life

3

Overall experience is just decent. We dont have events like freshers day and all we just have 1 fest that is Sathgamaya. There are a few clubs in the college but it does not run that well. They do not host any particular club events as such. The infrastructure is quite old. The campus is not very clean. The floor can be dirty. The library has a good collection of books. The college ground is used by school kids so the students can never really use it. There is no indoor sports facilities. There is a gym but it has a very weird timimgs and it is usually closed.

Admission

I chose this college because I did not make the cutoff for engineering colleges. I wanted to pursue CS and i needed a BCA college. My aim was to get into JC college of Engineering but my kcet ranking was less.

Faculty

3

College faculty is a collection of experienced and fresher teachers. Each department has about 25 faculties. There are about 4 classes with 60 students for each department. The courses are credit based each sem has courses with certain credits and it is necessary to earn each credit point. There is 1 mid term and 1 end sem for each semester. The SGPA is given for each sem and that is averaged to get CGPA. Regular courses have a 50-50 split for internal and external components. Lab courses have 80-20 spilt.

Placement Experience:

As a former student of this institution, I am compelled to share my disillusioning experience. The college's brochure boasted impressive placement statistics, but the reality was starkly different. Out of 240 students in my batch, a mere 10-15 secured job placements, resulting in an abysmal placement ratio of approximately 4-6. This was a clear indication of the institution's failure to deliver on its promises. The brochure's claims of "excellent placement opportunities" and "top-notch companies" were nothing more than a marketing gimmick. Only one tech company visited our campus, offering a modest package of 3.6 LPA, while the remaining companies were sales-based with negligible packages that hardly justified the effort and investment put into earning a degree.

Placements in our college is very good. We get offers from companies like DE Shaw, Accenture, etc and the best part we have 100% placement. Students should not have any backlogs and they should have atleast 70% so they will be eligible to sit in the placements. And the process of placements starts from 3rd year i.e.5th sem

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester if they don't have any backlogs in any previous semesters. The companies that visited our campus was IBM, INFOSYS, CAPGEMI, etc.. The highest package offered was 7Lpa to 9LPA, THE average package offered was 3.5 to 5 Lpa and the lowest package offered was 2Lpa . The percentage of students getting placed depends upon the student, if he or she didn't have any backlogs in the previous semesters, but the percentage of the students getting placed was 50 to 60%. My plans after degree was to do work in. Software development firm, but now i am studying my masters from Manipal University of Jaipur.
