My college life in AMRITA VISHWA VIDYAPEETHAM

Likes

I liked in my college is coaching and the behaviour of our lectures, if we have any doubts ,they are always free for us to help and clear our doubts
And the infrastructure of ,y college and the faculties who work their and non teaching staffs and their kindness towards students
I liked abt one thing in my college that they always support us in placement process,they often send links to apply to those companies

Dislikes

I disliked abt my college is they don't conduct more cultural activities and events for us to enjoy ,we didnt like that and no much events
We always feel like we are still in school and we don't feel like we are persuing degree because of some restrictions and no events in our college
And some of the facurdont respond as soon as possible,they will ignore us and they don't come forward to help us when we are in need regarding minor projects

Course Curriculum Overview:

While choosing this course I wanted to do MBA so if I choose BBA it would be easy so I chose BBA and this course helped me to prepare me for real world applications.It has provided knowledge about business ethics, marketing, strategies to deal with clients and the frequency and time of my exams are 3-4 hours

My campus

Likes

I like the way of teaching of the faculties to the student’s
I like the behaviour of the faculties to the students
I like the atmosphere of the college and the programs they conducted

Dislikes

I really don’t like the parking space in the campus
I don’t like the ground that they provide to us
I don’t like the supplmentary fee structure

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester students are eligible to apply for placement the companies like infosis and other complanies are coming to my college for placements students who have 60 and above percentage can apply for placement

Likes

They have good classroom facilities, projectors.
The campus is neat and clean, The corridors will e cleaned daily
Give holidays on Wednesdays which feels good to have break between a week

Dislikes

They hurry up the things, They don't teach things elaborately when it is delayed.
Some Faculty don't have subject knowledge .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think this course is best for CS field. If you don't have intrest to do Engineering you can do this course which is equivalent to engineering if you do Masters only. if you don pnly bachelors degree it's not enough

An honest review of my college

Likes

This college is a part of a large university and hence has a good name and the NIRF ranking is good
The college provides dedicated placement training course which is called life skills for 3 semesters
The lab is quite good with AC and decent computers.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not the best and the maintenance is also not good.
Teachers are good in general but most of them are not very proficient in English.
The college does not host lot of events for students to participate and enjoy.

Placement Experience:

The placement is not the best. The students are not acknowledged about the placement reports. They only highlight 1 or 2 students who have got a high package. The campus placement has around 40 companies coming and the packages range from 2-12 LPA.

Facilities are well experienced and educated they are acknowledgable
The students need to follow certain guidelines and rules in the campus which is good for character development
Good placements and opportunities for student

Dislikes

Timings and too strict rules makes difficult to follow
The attendance requirement of 85% is much high to maintain
Some unnecessary rules should be cancelled out

BCom is one of the forward moving courses and Amrita with good education and placements I was recommended to join here and I was convinced The institution provides practical experience on the course learing which makes easier to learn and dealt with the real world experience

AMRITA UNIVERSITY A HIDDEN GEM FOR STUDENTS

Likes

the college has amazing placement cell and amazing companies visiting the campus. the offers made by companies are also amazing, this is amazing part of joining this college
the college has the best return on investment, the fees being really affordable and the education and placemets offered makes it an amazing deal for students searching for quality education for minimal price
the college has diversity of students from different states like kerala, tamilnadu, andrapradesh, telangana, east india, northern parts of india, international students ect

Dislikes

even though there are many clubs, sometimes the clubs are not really active as the college focuses more on academics than other activities
academics are given more importance which results in less attention to co curriculars in the university, and also the college is really strict with attendance
the hostel is very rigid as the students are not allowed to go out after 6pm. there are many rigid rules in the hostel and many procedure to be followed in order to get pass for outing which may feel annoying to students

Placement Experience:

the college offers amazing placement for students, the campus has an amazing well dedicated placement cell called as CIR( corporate and industry relation) the dept personally works with each student to gain placement. the CIR dept starts training students for placments from sem 3. the students are allowed to sit for placements from sem 5 onwards, whereas the students are given internship oppourtunitues from sem 3 there are vast number of companies visiting the campus such as DE SHAW, ACCENTURE, INFOSYS, GOLDMANSHACKS, CATTERPILLAR, VIPRO almost more than 100+ companies the highest package for our bacholors in commerce was 12lpa, the average package is 3-5lpa most of the students get placed during the placement rounds of upto 75% i will sit for placements and am sure of getting placed in good companies

My view on my college

Placement Experience:

The only thing that is best in this college is placements that too for BCA it's really good in my batch many of us about 60% of the students got placed in different companies like SAP being the best place to get into other companies like Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Nielsen IQ, Deloitte etc. The packages are good ranging between 2lpa to 5lpa.

A overall review on my college

Placement Experience:

During 3rd-year students are eligible to apply for campus placements and the CIR department will help the students to get campus placements. Deloitte and many campuses and I don't know the highest salary offered and many commerce students will choose bank jobs and certified courses.

Our amrita university

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exams are good and are on time. The exams are relatively average and prepared so that everyone can attempt and at least try passing. The student ratio in our course (BBA) is 7:3. Teachers are very good.
