Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum was as expected for a diploma level program. Since i was a student of the I scheme, I can't say much about the latest brought up K scheme. The topics covered on a general basis are enough to start your journey in the industry at a industrial trainee or intern level.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college offers internship opportunities for students via their training and placement cell. Considering that our domain knowledge is limited with our diploma syllabus, the stipend aren't that good enough but acceptable for complete freshers at today's time.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees I had to pay for my course was 84000 approx for open category. Various scholarships for class or category based students are available. The fees is increasing with respect to year by year academic changes.

Campus Life

4.5

The college supports students for multiple fests and other social activities after ofcourse considering their given educational time table. The library provides a vast options of reference books, e-books and text books for the students to access and use. The campus and social life depends majorly on the type of friends you have... But the overall experience was good for me.

Admission

The college offers both, centralised admission process and admission through management quota. Due to my low scores in my 10th boards, i had to opt in with the management quota. There are multiple reasons to go with AISSMS POLYTECHNIC, it's fame, education quality, Staff support, etc.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is actually pretty open minded and engaging with students,. Their motive is to get the best out of everyone, so if their acting strictly or any other manner... There's a reason for that and it's for your own benefit. I personally never dealt with a faculty i didn't like. There are a few surprise tests and regular evaluation of students is done based on their practical performance.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not so good. In order to get a good package you must have a good cgpa around 7-8. If you have a good cgpa. You can get a good job offer with a annual pay for 5-6 lakhs. I plan to do btech/be after diploma. That,ll help me get a good placement. I can do btech here only if i manage to get enough percentage in my final year. If i couldn't i plan to get admission in keystone school of engineering which is a good college for engineering degree. Mostly infotech and proazure hire the most. There are other companies too. Around 60 percent students get placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Rating of course curriculum of my college (PCP) the scale :- 1-5 | 5 = Excellent. • Relevance - 3.5/5(industry aligned but need modernization). • Comprehensiveness - 3/5(Cover basics but lacks interdisciplinary depth) Key aspects influencing course :- 1). Technical foundation - core engineering discipline(mechanical, civil, computer, etc)with a focus on fundamental skill. 2). Practical training - labs, workshop and internship linked to local industries. 3). Affordability and accessibility - polytechnic program at PCP are cost- effective and provide early entry into technical careers. My college has a robust foundation for technical education but requires strategic update to stay competitive.

Placement Experience:

Placement strategies is different for every department. Like most computer engineering students wants higher education. Mechanical, civil and automobile students not that much interested in higher education. Teachers of placement department are very active in there work they gave us more information and counseling like who have to get higher education and who gave to be placed. Students fills a google form which os about students placements, according to that they know how many students are interested in placement and higher education. Companies like TATA, VPRO and other are came for campus in our college various tests and interviews are taken then salary and other things are discussed. Many students get pass in interview. The ratio is about to 30% students get placed every years from campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is the heart of a student’s college or advanced learning experience. Curriculum is a college or university’s primary means of guiding students directions. Curricula should be reviewed and revised on a regular basis, better to serve the changing needs of both students and society. We are often urged to reassess the quality of our curricula. Faculties are responding to this challenge by turning their attention to long neglected issues. They are doing so as a practical means of both attracting and retaining more students, ensuring their success, and producing high quality, fair outcomes for everyone.
