Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course is really outdated. F.Y is not relevant to your field. It is just the basics of all engineering fields. The real course starts from 2nd year. There is no teacher teaching the real world application of the concepts. There are 4 exams in one academic year. Which are 20,70,20,70 marks respectively. The exams are not that difficult if you study the curriculum thoroughly.

Placement Experience

1

The placements for C.S branch are negligible. You have to try for off campus placements. The key is self study and skill development. Only few students get placed that too with really low salaries. I am planning to do masters or MBA after this course.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am paying 47146? for my second year in engineering (computer science and technology) in this college. Tution fees: 45000? library fees: 500? Others: 1646 I have applied for EBC scholarship therefore I am paying this amount. For general category without reservation it is 84000. For S.C/S.T/N.T it is 5000 per year For OBC it is 41000 per year For general category there are two scholarships EBC and Punjabrao deshmukh hostel bhatta yojna. EBC reuces your tution fees to 47146 per annum. Punjabrao deshmukh provides 20000 per annum for hostel expences. You can also apply for Kamgar yojna which provides 60000 per annum For S.C/S.T/ NT/O.B.C there are various other scholarship according to the respective grades/income of the applicant.

Campus Life

1.5

There is just one event in college that is symphony which is like a annual gathering in primary schools. There are no clubs. There is a drama group in college. There is one sports event which is held every year which is filled with politics and ragging of juniors.

Hostel Facilities

2

There is a hostel of college but it has a limited capacity. The room has 3 beds and two open cupboards. No internet. However you have a internet room where you have to plug in the ethernet cable. Which has limited sitting capacity. There are few PGs and rented rooms in the locality but the cost twice the college hostel fees. The meal quality of hostel is not good however there are various other mess services in the locality.

Admission

I applied to various engineering colleges in Maharashtra. I had secured 84 percentile in MH-CET. I gave first, second, third, fourth preference to the C.S/I.T/ AI & ML/ ENTC branches respectively. That was the reason why I had to settle with this college because I was unable to clear the cutoff for general category in computer science branch. College admits students through MH-CET exam and also JEE mains exam. Cutoff fluctuates according to the year.

Faculty

2

There is one teacher for 95 students in our class. The student-teacher relationship is non-existent the faculty does not believe in engaging with the students. There is no option expect self study. I liked vishwas patil in F.Y he was engaging with the students and taught really. All the others were the same as I mentioned. In every year there are 2 semesters each semester has 2 exams mid sem and end sem exam. Mid sem is of 20 marks and end sem is of 70 marks. 10 marks are for assignments. It is not that difficult but due to lack of interest many students fail the exam. Course curriculum is relevant to the exam. Nearly everything is from the course curriculum.

Other Applied Colleges

Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering - [PCCOE] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)

Didn't qualify

College of Engineering - [COEP] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Information Technology)

I didn't qualify the required cutoff for general category.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
