Likes
- Faculties are really supportive. They will support u in everything if u talk to them. They teach good also and also expects the students to study.
- There are some active technical clubs which are very good like inogeeks they teach and provide some really good opportunities . There are also some centers of excellence for startups in the college
- There is a good coding culture . Its just matter of finding good peer which u will definitely find here.
Dislikes
- The campus is really small it is of almost 19 acres which is really small although the campus is built beautifully and the space is utilised very effectively but still it is very small
- Lack of hostels. There are very limited hostels in the campus majorly boys hostel . The intake of students is almost 2000 but there are not hostel facilities in the campus . U will have to get pgs, hostels or flats outside campus
- The boys to girls ratio is less although it is increasing. In my class there are 72 students out of which only 22 are girls.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is really good. Especially from this year after the college became autonomous they have added subjects like web development , product designing, 3D printing in first year itself. In the upcoming years also they will teach other technologies also like cloud, ml etc. The autonomous tag has helped the college by incorporating these subjects in the course and it will surely benefit in the placements
Internships Opportunities
There are some internship opportunities in colleges if u get reffered by an alumni but overall u will have to find internships on your own by building skills which u will get if u have the proper skillset.
Placement Experience
The placements are good its all about the hard work u have put in over the course. Many companies come in the college (some with reallly good packages) its all upon you. You have to grab the opportunities by working hard. There are many off campus opportunities also.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total tution fees(along with other fees) for this college is 5.6 lakhs and if u opt for hostel then total hostel fees for four years is almost 4.3 lakhs but if u take ac room then u will have to give 26k more every year. The fees is increasing very little every year. If u take tfw seat then ur tuition fees will not be taken. The college provides many scholarships but mostly are for UP students if u are outside student then u will need to have an income certificate of very less income approx less than 2.5 lakhs to avail scholarships which are very few for outside students but for UP students there are many scholarships available
Campus Life
Campus life is good for those living in campus. Not for us but still its good . The hostels outside kiet are nearer to it so we dont have to travel. Due to kiet there are many hostels ,pgs and flats near kiet. The campus is really small but u can surely enjoy in the campus if u get some good friends.
Admission
I took kiet over other AKTU private colleges because it was simply the best. GL bajaj has good placement but there is lack of exposure in that college, that college is just like a school u will have to go in uniform the campus size is also very very small and there are many restrictions. It is better than colleges like AKG,NIRT and ABES in terms of placements and exposure. Talking about JSS then KIET and JSS are almost on the same level(JSS a bit better ) but the fees of JSS is on a higher size. KIET is currently in its growing stage , its placements were really good in 2022 but due to recession the placements have been affected but surely kiet will become the best AKTU private college in the coming future as it is growing year by year
Faculty
The faculties are good in this college they are supportive and teaches well. There are some teachers who dont teach good but they are very few. If u pay attention in their class and revise the notes only for 45 mins everyday u will surely do well in exams. Now let me tell about the exams In every semester there are two midsems held and one endsem and there are CTs(class tests) held almost every month which arey very easy also the midsems are easy if u study
