Likes
- The faculty: for BBA the faculty is very well versed. All of them either have completed their PhD or pursuing PhD from the same college. Most of the professors teach mba too so you know what kind of knowledge they have.
- Exposure: IBS gives students lot of opportunities in terms of clubs, fests, competition. The amount of exposure we get from the business or corporate world through guest lectures or from faculty itself is impeccable comparatively.
- Placements and internships: most of the individuals don't opt for placements after graduation. But the people who opt for job gets placed in companies like Deloitte, JP Morgan, tamada and several banks too.
Dislikes
- Crowd: ibs has a massive crowd of more than 1000 people in one batch. Ibs choose quantity over quality so most of the crowd is cheap and down market
- Nep revolution: keeping aside the benifits from nep there are some massive drawback one being the subjects. Seniors had actual core subjects relevant to the corporate world but my batch has subjects like environment, soft skills etc doesn't help
- Travel: ibs is in the outskirts of Hyderabad and it's not a residency college. People travel almost 160 kms daily to attend the college which can be very tiring.
Course Curriculum Overview
Due to nep 2020 there are a few subjects which are added to the syllabus like environment studies, more emphasis on English reading and writing, soft skills etc which concentrates the relevancy of the course. Apart from that we have case based teaching where most of the problems or examples are given in cases where it's easier to understand the topic better.
Internships Opportunities
We have internship starting from our 3rd semester. Companies like Deloitte, JP Morgan etc visit the campus and several more startups visit to hire students too. The stipend is fixed in a few companies starting from 20,000 with goodies and several amenities. Apart from that we also have our colleges own placement cell which helps students to get placed in companies.
Placement Experience
Internships starts from 3rd semester that is sip-1. To get an internship or job student must maintain 7 cgpa and must not have any dues. Same goes with the placement as well. Ibs has companies like Deloitte, JP Morgan, tamada, bank of america and several startups whose founders are alumni of ibs. Most of the students don't opt for placements as soon as the graduation. But for the people who applied for job gets placed in the top companies with reasonable salaries
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee is 7,50,000 for 3 year excluding the transportation or hostel charges. Apart from that we have 2 kinds of scholarships one being the merit based i.e, your 12th score. For students who scored 75%-80- they will be availing 7,500 rupees as scholarship every semester and the price increase with the range. The second type being you performance based scholarship i.e, your cgpa. If you score 8 cgpa in your semester exam you will avail 12,000 rupees as scholarship and so on. Pay per semester is 1,25,000 minus the scholarship if availed any plus 24,000 for transportation or if you are a hosteller it's 79,000 per semester. Initial you will have to pay caution deposit which is 10,000 and the admission fee is 20,000.
Campus Life
Ibs bba has several clubs like finance, literacy, cultural, photography etc our flagship fest throti is a 3 day event where inter college fests, cultural programs and food stalls are kept. With clubs being around we will have a lot of opportunities to explore and prove our excellence in these events.
Admission
I have applied for multiple college unfortunately I got rejected or didn't opt for the college due to distance. I choose this college because this the better option i could find in my area. Other colleges didn't had much exposure or experience as much as ibs did, so this was the second best. The admission process is pretty simple you have to apply through online and you will be called for an interview. The eligibility is above 50% in you 12th
Faculty
Faculty in ibs is top notch. People have years of corporate world experience and a few has led their teams whey they were in that Domin. Every faculty is a PhD scholar who has submitted their thesis and have remarkable research papers which are showcased through the world. The faculty is friendly and supportive. Coming to marking scheme my batch of '26 have absolute grading which is tougher to achieve because they are a few pre determined number ranges which we have to score to pass our exams. The rest of the batches have relative grading which is a lot more easier. Papers are set in a moderate point of view where everyone can attempt it's not hard if you prepare.
