Course Curriculum Overview
As I said it's been only one month since I am here and course so far is going great . They focus on clearing your basics first and build an strong foundation before diving deeply into the course. Curriculum focuses more on how practically a student will be able to use whatever he or she is learning currently. It Focuses more on real life aspects and problem solving. Exams will be in the month of Jan and semester will be ending during the end of December so the frequency of exam dates is decent for now
Internships Opportunities
Since I am new here I don't really know about what type of internships students get here and what is their tasks and stipend. As far as I know students get decent internship and gets well prepared according to their future aspirations. For example you want to open your own start up then uni will guide you that direction or if you are looking for campus placement then they will prepare you for aptitude tests and interviews beforehand. They are very focused on these areas.
Placement Experience
Decent placements are provided in the college. Even on the day I came for the campus tour there were companies that came on campus for the selection of students. In my course you can expect a entry level salary of 8LPA to 10 LPA as it is an professional course. ACCA is basically UK based chartered accountant which is acceptable in 180+ countries and have a rising demand in market. You can crack a job even without campus placement. But there are placements here. One of our senior got placed in EY as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for my course for total four years is approx 12L . In first semester fees was 146000 plus 20000 admission fees. First year fees in total would be approx 3 lakhs. Fees increases year wise . There are scholarship available for the students in first sem. Those who scored above 90 percent in their 12th in 4 domain subjects including English gets scholarship. Other than that you have to be in Top 5 students to avail 100 percent scholarship and top 10 students for 50 % scholarship. You have to maintain your cgpa to keep availing your scholarship. Sports scholarship is also available in few sports based on which level you have participated in.
Campus Life
Amity Noida is best place if you want to enjoy your college life to the fullest. There is always a function or celebration is going on here. University also holds a sports meet called sangathan. In this basically all the departments of the university competes against each other in different sports. I am sure you all have watched chichore movie, it's something like that only and is very fun to participate in. Students get OD for their practices and matches and this is where college life peaks. Competition everywhere. If you are taking admission in amity I will definitely suggest you to take part in it. It is held mostly during the month of October and November. Different festivals are celebrated in the H block of the university. Like navratri is going on so there will garba nights and celebration by Bengali community students. Amity's main fest is called youth fest which will be held in March or April ig . It is said to be very grand and fun . Will be my first fest so yea excited for i
Admission
I applied to Delhi University but wasn't able to get the course I wanted. Other than that I had option for going to christ University Bangalore but it was far away from my hometown so the next best option that was left with me was Amity noida. I chose my course over college or else I would have taken admission into mata sundari college of DU. The admission process of Amity noida is very simple. You to go and fill the admission form on their site, then the university will go through your admission form and if they think you are eligible they will call you for a personal interview. It can be in Both online or offline mode. Once you are done with the interview they will call you later or will upload ur admission letter if you did well.
Faculty
As I have been here for only like a month so I can not say much about faculty but one thing is for sure that they support you if you seek help. There are few professors who are not that nice on behavioural basis but they do their jobs properly and that is to teach. Faculty in my course is very nice . Each one of them are very knowledgeable in their field and are always ready to help us students. They are all very supportive and nice
Interview Experience
There is always an interview held but I was exempted from it as I had scored above 90 in my 12th so I didn't had to face any of those interviews but my friends who took admission had to give it. There were not really hard questions. They said questions were very basic and based on common sense and were mostly based on personal behaviour and stuff. But students do have to give an proficiency test after getting admission into the university. Proficiency test woud be of 100 marks and subjects would your domain subjects plus some mental maths and aptitude based questions as well. Students have to score above 60 percent in that test. Those who scores below 60 will have to attend bridge course for the next 1 or 2 months so that they can fill in their gap and be ready to study their main course. You can prepare for this test by simply revising your domain subs and by doing some mental mathematics and aptitude test's practice.
