Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is very competitive exam oriented and it prepares students well for the outer world. Some changes that can be made is more pratical learning rather than theortical one as practical exposure make us more job oriented and helps in skill development

Internships Opportunities

4

Being a first year student I haven't came across any internship till now But as heard from seniors various companies like infosys, tata, google come here for internships for youth. And as far as I'm concerned I'll also come through these very soon

Placement Experience

4

As I heard from the seniors placement ratio here is appreciable. Being a first year student I can see various placements offers coming to my seniors and averag package that I have acknowledge is about 6-7 Lakh per annum and highest was about 18Lakh per annun A lot of students are getting placed My plans after getting the degree is to go for competitive exams like UPSC

Fees and Financial Aid

One semester fees is 55000 which is the sum total of the fees which is taken from us including all ofher facilites For Sc category under some scholarship their fees is approximately 2000 only. This is only for some specific reserved category students

Campus Life

4.5

There are various annual festivals like fresh gen for freshers,Tech event, walkathon etc. The libraries have sufficient amount of books and journals to read. Every genre books can be found easliy. All the classes here are computerised with proper projectors. University provides various chances for sports enthusiasts to showcase their talent like in interuniversity sports events Students here run various social groups like parichaay and others which are based on various social topics which encourage other students to participate and even aware them

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Every room has 4 beds and 4 almirahs one for each individual. Besides one cooler and two study tables are provided. Proper ventilation is done Meal here is very delicious and healthy and have various varities that changes accordingly One has to register themselve for hostel in the hostel office only after admission in the university

Admission

I applied for other universities like delhi university and kurukshetra university but I chose chandigarh university over them because it focused more on overall development and skill development of child which is more required in real life. I got selected for kurukshetra university but I chose CU over it due to certain reasons One can enter CU after giving CUCET exam and the eligibilty criteria is 50+ percentage in boards exam

Faculty

4.5

Faculity here is very cooperative and hardworking. Students can easily approach them for doubts. Specially the faculty of liberal arts is very kind. There are two mid semester exams that are added to internal assesments and one final exam which is of 60 marks Exam pattern is a mixture of theortical and practical knowledge

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (English)

Because chandigarh university is better in the field of skill development and exposure

Course Curriculum Overview:

I study Psychology, Computer Science and Elective English. I love everything about Psychology. The whole course structureis perfect, and they focus on practicality as well. What I don't like about Computer Science is the lack of practical experience. Exams are fairly easy and are conducted twice per semester. Mid Semester exams are short and the duration is one week. And the finals can go for as long as one and a half month.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you are trying to familiarize yourself with college academics, you will need to learn how college exams are different from high school exams well before you enroll in your first semester of classes. While both college and high school classes are designed to prepare students to become contributing members of society, the environment and the approach are entirely different. You must realize that high school is designed to prepare you for college, but you are considered an adult once you walk the line and apply for college admission. There will be no hand-holding, no parent intervention, more lenient attendance policies, more independent study time, and less one-on-one attention.
