Course Curriculum Overview

4

Textile and apparel design is an emerging course which is less explored than Industrial or communication design, we're prepared in such a way that at the end of the degree we're well prepared for the market and understand the work ethics

Internships Opportunities

4

im in my second year and I haven't done any internship yet so i dont know much about this stuffs but alot of companies come for internships and mostly every student does internships, different people apply gor different roles in their internship.

Placement Experience

4

From the start if students want they can apply for internships and training in any design related work, and in the 8th semester students are officially asked to do internships for a whole semester and prepare a graduation project.

Fees and Financial Aid

I will be paying approximately 3.5 lakhs this year including all the stuffs like mess fees, hostel fees, security deposit extra, scholarship is given to those who ace the specific year, i dont know about the fee criteria for other categories but in my knowledge they pay the same amount.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is fun, everything here is an experience, all the cultural events, sports events, interactive sessions with designers all around the industry everything makes the college life interesting and makes us feel to keep going.

Hostel Facilities

4

A room is provided with 2 beds, 2 chairs, 2 tables and 2 almirah, 2 people share a room, meal quality is pretty much descent and menu is good it has variety, hostel is compulsory for every student for the whole time period of the course.

Admission

There is no way to choose any other college over NID, its the best college in India for designing, i applied for UID, NIFT, IIAD and got selected in all of them but I personally wanted to join NID as a student

Faculty

3

in the first year there are 75 students in a class and minimum 3 faculties are assigned for every module so that the ratio is maintained as 1:25, faculties are approachable and some of them are like friends to us, college also provides visiting faculties who are experts in there own fields, there are no exams there are modules which are evaluated seperately and then at the end of the semester a jury is conducted where designer from industry come to see our work and we have to present all our work of the particular semester and on that we're evaluated.

Placement is good. The companies visit from time to time in the campus. The placement depends on the students skills and experiences. The placement takes place in the last year of the degree so you can directly join after.
