What Students Say?
Likes
- I obviously liked the affordability. Fees was too low for a professional course like bsc agriculture hons
- The college is co-ed. There is no gender discrimination apparently
Dislikes
- Lack of classrooms. Most of times, we had to sit on the ground in the lawn
- Teachers were way too strict in terms of discipline and attendence
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because it has a wide scope in both government and private sector. I'm sure nobody can stay unemployed after pursuing this course. The curriculum made me all rounder and made my knowledge vast because of which I'm fully prepared for the real world applications Teaching methods could be improved by teaching us practical skills apart from the theory. Don't just make us do weeding only in your gardens and farms. We could learn a lot more in agriculture, like soil testing, microbiology, food science, etc. In practicals. Timing of exams was frequent as it included daily class tests too.
Fees and Financial Aid
•The fees in dayalbagh is quite decent. It was 3150 rs only per semester. My graduation is done with only 25k inr. • There was no extra fees. It was one time per semester • Fees was same for everyone regardless of category • I'm not aware of any financial aid. May be it's not required as the fees is already too less.
Campus Life
Yes, there is play ground, library, washrooms, classrooms, food labs, practical labs, etc. . All the basic facilities are there but not of very high class. It's decent only. Extra curricular activities are conducted
Admission
I just chose this college because I knew the place (Agra) and the fees was also too low to which my parents agreed. I didn't apply to other colleges because i didn't want to go too far from my home. This college takes offline entrance test which includes common syllabus like - the main subject, reasoning, gk, aptitude, english If you qualify the test, your name appears in the list for the next round which is the interview, after that, counselling, then merit list.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio was quite decent. I loved the food science faculty. They were extremely professional and great tutors. In agriculture, we have covered almost all the subjects in this world, we have become all rounders! The faculty, i did not like was the plant genetics teachers because they were not good at teaching and only cared about the discipline rather than solving our doubts & queries. Exams are conducted every month - CT-1, CT-2, end sem and practicals. The level of exams was decent yet only sometimes it was tough depending upon the subject. Plant pathology was the most tough for me!
