Likes

I like the classrooms as the classrooms are well-maintained and are very good.
I like the library as it has a lots of books and journal for studying.
I like the college environment is very good and it is very nice also.

Dislikes

I don't like the hostels because it's very dirty.
I don't like the bathrooms of the hostel.
I don't like the canteen's food as it is a bit tasteless.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I wanted to become a software engineer so I choose this course. The curriculum prepares me for real-world applications or further academic pursuits very nicely. In every 4 months we appear our semester and in 8 months our year is completed.

Class Size: 3500Course Fees: INR 118000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I will pay 1,18,000 per year for the course and 50,000 per year for the hostel fees. It includes all the tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees and administration fees is 25,000. There is no compulsory charges during the course completion as per the category. The fees for the SC/ST and OBC is a bit less from the general category.

Campus Life

There are a lots of annual and technical festivals like AURORA, ARAMBH etc in every 3 months. There are a lots of books and journals available in the libraray for the study propose. There are smartbords in the classroom and AC classrooms are also there. And also once a year there is annual sports held in the college.

Hostel Facilities

There are AC and Non-AC rooms available in the hostel. There are gym and musical club in the hostel. The meal quality isn't that good but it is considerable. Registration process is quite simple for the hostel.

Admission

I applied for many private colleges and also I got confirmed admission in all the colleges but I chose this college as it has good facilities. No, I didn't face any rejection in any colleges. The admission process is quite very easy in our college. The eligibilty and exams required for the admission for the course is that one have to appear JEE MAINS.

Faculty

The relationship between faculty and student is very good. The faculty members are very helpful and are very nice to the students. They helps us in our studies. I like Rajkishore Mahapatra sir as he teaches very well and he is very nice to the students and also he becomes our friend during teaching. I don't like Sushree ma'am as she doesn't teache very well, she always copies the teachings from youtube. There are total 8 semesters in this 4 year course and every year we appear 2 semesters. The exams are sometimes easy and sometimes difficult and a few student fails to clear exams.

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Likes

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

From sixth semester you are eligible for campus placement. Companies visited are Tata power, Adani, OPTCL and others.The highest package for electrical engineering is 10 lacs. 60percent marks is required for getting placement.

My college is best

Likes

Things I like is to good faculty, garden.
VSSUT provides the best amenities and bathrooms.
Excluding hostel & other facilities are like good.

Dislikes

The water quality is not good at all from mess side.
The drainage system is not maintained well.
The surroundings are not clean and the guarda are strict.

Placement Experience:

Some say that the celllege has better placements, but that the salary is not very lucrative. Infosys, Tata Steel, IBM, Wipro, Cisco Systems, Larsen and Cognizant, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Group. My plans are to go to better iim for mba

Likes

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.
