For getting admission into any IIT in India, one has to clear the Joint entrance examination (JEE Advance). This exam is ranked the hardest exam in India and the second hardest exam in the world. This exam tests knowledge in three subjects - Physics, Chemistry and maths. There is an overall cutoff in the exam (about 30% of the maximum marks) and individual cutoffs of the respective subjects(about 5-10% of the maximum marks in each subject). If a student clears both the cutoffs and gets a decent rank, he'll be able to get admission at IIT BHU through JOSAA counselling. Through JOSAA counselling we can opt various courses at many IITs in India. The only thing I hated about the admission process is the management. Many of the departments are very old, but they are very well-maintained. The new departments are the best. In the metallurgical department, there are three lecture theatres, and all of them are well equipped with facilities like Wi-Fi, lights, fans and soundproof walls, mics and speakers. One of the lecture theatres is air-conditioned. Labs are well-equipped. A library is a good place with all the books required with flexible timings. Mess and canteen are very good. Quality of food served in the mess and canteen is good. New hostels are well-maintained, but the old hostels have a bit dusty rooms. Medical facilities are very good, and there is a free health checkup facility for students. Sports is on a different level in this college...Read More
